Health care trends
There are several health care trends throughout the United States, and among them, one of the
best health care trends will be "technology could help the patients to move to the centre". This
trend generates a crucial impact on the health conditions of the people. It has been seen that
physicians spend 21% of the time on the different types of non-clinical paperwork (Burrill,
2019). This mainly reduces the time that they should spend with their patient's to improve their
health, and this can be done with the help of innovative technologies. The use of artificial
intelligence, cognitive technologies and robotics can help in reducing the workload of the
physicians and clinicians of Highland Hospital that is located in Oakland and these technologies
are widely used as the latest trend throughout the United States (Rayborn, Turner & Park, 2017).
Three implications are:
The use of these technologies will further help in improving the connectivity for making
efficient decisions as well as the engagement with the financial systems of Highland
Hospital.
Enabling technologies like EHR and blockchain can help the doctor to enhance their
decision-making process by managing the chronic disease of the patient by using the data
from patient’s EMR (Clarke, Black, Stussman, Barnes & Nahin, 2015).
The role of AI in healthcare is to act like a virtual assistant who can proactively improve
the decision-making of the patient in various ways such as by tracking their prescribed
medicines, by giving them medication advice or by providing them strict diet restrictions.
This trend will have these implications as its use is for the development and enhancement of the
health of the patient’s. It will generate a positive impact by enhancing the communication
system, financial system and the decision-making process for the physicians and clinicians.
