1FACTUAL REPORT
It was a great experience for me to work with this health care organization named
HealthStreet. It was completely an internship program that will definitely help me in a
positive manner in my future work life as well in the hospital settings, I was engaged in a
health care setting where I had to do a lot of activities related to the patient care. Therefore, it
can be said that involvement in the multiple activities in the hospital care settings will help
me a lot.
During the internship days in the HealthStreet I used to involve in the tasks like
handing the patients’ data, verification of the patients’ information present in the hospital for
treatment, and finally I had to submit a report on an Excel sheets after collaborating all the
reports to my superiors and before submitting that before submitting the report as well. It is
quite natural that the tasks, in which I usually involved, were included in the master’s course
of my study. Hence, it was a practical experience for me. During the masters programme I
learnt about the health social and behavioural science and I learnt those things during the
summer brushing workshop or program. In this program we mainly got the ideas related to
the kid’s activities such as brushing technique of the kids, importance of healthy behaviour of
the kids and we also educated them about the healthy behaviour practice in daily life as well.
Moreover, we also gave those children lesion regarding the hygiene and healthy food practice
as well and along with this, we also pointed out the bad effects of the sugar consumption
through sweetened beverages as well. According to the study of Kiefner-Burmeister et al.
(2014), it is reported that, poor food practice and lack of proper knowledge regarding the
eating behaviour among the children are quite common among the children and it affects the
health condition of the children as well. Therefore, advancement of knowledge regarding
such behaviour will be very effective for the health of the children. Consequently, the
improvement of the child health will also help in the improvement of the social health. Apart
from this, I was also learned about the importance of social connection and intervention

through hands on experiences of practices so that the children can have the knowledge
regarding those practice as well. According to the study of Danielewicz-Betz and Kawaguchi
(2014) such kind of hand practice is very effective for the individuals involved in this process
and thereby this process has also helped me to improve my skills of providing training to the
children as well. However, providing training to the children was the most difficult part of the
internship program. In most of the tasks, I was involved in group projects and I helped a lot
of clients of HealthStreet during those days. Furthermore, it can be said that, among all the
experiences, the importance of providing adequate skills and efforts to the community health
improvement were the most crucial for me to improve in the field of my profession.
