A. What actions did you take that impacted your performance in this course? What gaps or
deficits have you identified that impacted your ability to succeed?
At first I would like to inform that I really regret my failure in the HEAS 1000. I was
unsuccessful in the mentioned course since I failed in the theory part of the course. As a result of
this failure, I have to repeat my complete midterms. As per my opinion several actions of mine
are responsible for my failure. Firstly, I was highly reluctant to study during the midterms. Lack
of study had inevitably resulted in lack of Knowledge. Several factors have affected my lack of
interest in study. Firstly, the financial stress was a major reason that prevented me to study. As a
student, I need to support myself financially and thus need to work for the same reason. Besides
that, the fear of being jobless even after passing out and social insecurity also resulted in gradual
reluctance to study. Another reason behind my lack of interest in study is my excessive
inclination towards social media platforms. My addition towards social media platforms had
greatly hindered my study. Finally, another factor that is responsible for my failure is my lack of
approachability. Several times, I was not able to understand the topic that was being taught in the
class. However, my introvert nature had restricted me to go up and ask the educator or my friend
to help me out in that specific topic. All of these reasons have resulted in my failure.

As per my opinion, in order to become an successful online student, the following qualities are
extremely necessary.
I. Comfort with the internet as well as other required technology.
II. To have an appropriate understanding of netiquette (Martin, 2017).
III. Providing appropriate attention to the written instruction as well as details.
IV. Constantly motivating oneself (Cowin & Johnson, 2015)
V. Not being afraid of asking for help.

The expectations of the NorQuest College PN Online program are as follows:
I. It is crucial to integrate and maintain accuracy of the assignments

III. To their end, the college employs faculty whose professional training prepares them to
make informed judgments regarding student performance.
IV. For online students, there are no specific deadlines and hence students are expected to
complete all the assignments by their course end date.
b. What do you know about the online delivery of this course? Is there a lab
component? How are labs and exams booked?
The Practical Nurse Program’s online delivery provides a flexible self-paced option, thus
giving learners the ability to integrate other aspects of their lives such as work and family
commitments and still advance their career goals. Yes, there was a lab component. Both labs and
exams can be booked online.
3. What actions you will take to be successful in your second attempt at this course?
In order to gain success this time, I will abide by the above mentioned qualities. I will use
the internet for study purpose instead of recreation. Secondly, I will not be ashamed of asking my
professor in case of any kind of quarries.
