Introduction
Heineken N.V. Company is an established Dutch brewing organization based in Amsterdam. Its
proud history as an independent, family-owned brewer company stretches back to 150 years.
Generally, a business has a significant role in bringing a positive force for change in the
community. For those 150 years, Heineken Company has been in operation, bringing a positive
force for change is one of its goals and the organization intends to stay for another 150 years so
that it can make a difference in the society (Heineken N.V., 2020 ). The strategy of Heineken is
to focus on five crucial areas that will support its goal of delivering long-term and sustainable
success. Not only will it bring success for its shareholders and the company in general but for
every stakeholder and individual Heineken Company interacts with. Despite working in different
regions or what role they play, Heineken’s global employees who are more than 85,000 are
driven by the same goal and strategy.
Location and size
As a brewing company based in Amsterdam, Heineken is the second-largest brewing
organization across the world. Heineken Company has over 300 beer brands that are sold
globally (Bhasin, 2018 ). As the most competitive company in the brewing industry, Heineken is
able to draw strength from various areas that it operates in as well as being able to sell to driving
consumer trends as it tries to open up new opportunities in the competitive market.

The company’s mission statement is “To delight consumers, day in day out, with perfect cider
and beer brand experiences.” This is a clear indication that Heineken aims to produce beer that
will be enjoyable to its target market.
Vision
Heineken is ambitious to make sustainability as an essential element in the business. This means
the company is looking at brewing a better world in all its activities from marketing, sourcing,
producing and selling its products.
Values
The company’s goal of brewing beers of high quality as well as strive to maintain and build
brands is reinforced by a set of its core values that include enjoyment for life, respect for the
planet and for people, and passion for quality.
