Overview of the company
Heineken is a Dutch brewing company that was founded in
1864 Whose headquarters is in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It
was founded by Gerard Adriaan Heineken. Heineken is
present in more than 70 countries and owns over 165
breweries (Lenfant and van Cranenburgh, 2017). They
product approximately 250 local, regional, international and
specialty ciders and beers. They have approximately 73,000
employees working for them globally. Annually they product
approximately 188 million hectolitres with an annual
revenue € 21.888 billion.
Presence
Their original brewery is in Amsterdam that
was closed in 1988 and was preserved as a museum
which is known as Heineken Experience. Currently
they are Europe’s number one brewer a one of the
largest brewers that are present in the world. But
after 2016, when two largest brewing empires
SABMiller and Anheuser-Busch InBev, Heineken
had become second largest brewer in the world.
