modern society must understand the importance of the culture as they are basis for which the
country is known for and if this will not be maintained and taken care off, then there will be no

people have grown by listening to the stories, mythologies, fables, historical events which all
shows the past for building and continuing it to the present and to the future. So it is very

facilitates the sense of the identity (De Simone, Canale and Di Maio, 2019).
The reasons which shows why it is very important for the modern society to conserve and

The historic places provides many benefits to the local economy as well as the local

the modern society. The modern society will be having many benefits from protecting and
maintaining such sites.
Contribution to local economy of country:
The heritage sites contributes much to the local economy as it creates the economic flows
to the local companies, local communities as well as to the overall country. The tourists when
visits to such heritage places, they have to give the entrance tickets and this directly contributes
to the local economy of the country. It is very beneficial for increasing the employment as well
as the revenue and thus, it all directly contributes to the economic development of the country
(Shirvani Dastgerdi and et.al., 2020). The cultural heritage sites are considered as the necessary

It is very high time to make aware the modern society about maintaining the heritage sites as
they are highly important for the identity of the overall country. The people are living at the
places and around the architecture which has been built by the ancestors which has many unique
stories associated with these ancient monuments and buildings. The local heritage if seen and
given importance it is very big part of the country. The preservation of the heritage sites brings
and unites the different kinds of the people having different skills as well as the academic
disciplines for the very noble cause (Cleere, 2020).
Heritage conservation is good for the modern society:
The conservation of the heritage sites is very beneficial for the modern society as-
Historical Record: It is very true that the historical buildings and monuments are identify and
marker for the specific period of time. They clearly states how the ancestors have built the
society and constructed the monuments and buildings. It is very important for the modern society
to understand the history of the place before using it in the present.
Sense of place: The heritage places contributes their part that creates an influence on the local
areas which have the influence of implanting a sense of place in the form of owners, visitors,
users and the communities of places like these. Heritage places have a different kind of the
uniqueness which when compared to the general developed fabric permits these kind of the
places to stand out and be different in our memories as well as consciousness. By protecting and
preserving the buildings we not only protect the places for the present generation but also for the
future generations along with the previous generations who have preserved the places for the
present generations. This assists in improving a sense of place and makes the heritage places
memorable (Meskell, 2018).
Proper treatment of the public goods: If the present generation use the heritage buildings as
the public goods for the advantage of the society then they tend to decrease the kind of
irreversible changes which the owners are required to make to their assets. By implementing the
principle of reversibility on a theoretical basis then each latest intervention can be avoided

without deploying or harming the original heritage fabric. If the people see them as only the
private assets then they take the risk by the erosion of our crucial cultural assets.
Recycling: As it is already known that the modern world has a sort of use and throw nature to
majority of the objects consisting of plastic water bottles by using only single time, the mow cost
furniture that only lasts for few years. Although the objects in the past were made in such a way
that they used to last for so many years but the existing society do not value the low cost
products, buildings, environments and the landscapes. In comparison the heritage buildings are
developed in such a way that they last for so many years (Leichenko and O'Brien, 2019).
Creating jobs: Majority of the world population lives in the urban areas the small cities find it
difficult to keep with the modern world without losing the different character in the historical
places in those cities. By recycling the already built assets and recreating the underutilised land
in the main locations will assist in one of the best practices for the inclusive growth. Research
shows that the cities are most important in attracting the businesses along with the investment to
fulfil the wishes and expectations of their citizens. This is done while also reducing the poverty
and enhancing the inclusion, are those which are able to utilise all of their resources consisting of
the heritage in the main areas of the cities (Gordon, 2018).
