INTRODUCTION
Managing human resource can be defined as a process in which the employees in a
business are managed and structured in a proper way. It will cover the process of staffing,
retention of employees or to make the performance management of the employees(Pichler,
2020). Every organisation has some or the other policies which are helpful for them in the proper
management of employees. The reason for having proper policies and frameworks in the
organisation are helpful in achieving the objectives of a business. It has been seen that the focus
of the HR manager in every company is to try to make reduction in the employees turnover and
to make the retention of employees which will be able to make their objectives achieved. The
main objective of keeping right employees and retaining them is to be able to fulfil the objectives
of management which can provide more emphasis on planning and controlling the activities.
Hettie is a UK based small and medium business which provides beautiful designs in bags which
works in a values and ethical responsibility and providing its products in Europe, USA and
worldwide . This report will cover HR operating model, resources which can help in attracting
highly skilled talent and quoting relevant theories.

Analysis of HR operating model with its advantages and disadvantages
The HR operating model is a theoretical representation in which it provides the
information as to how the Hr function is organized and it which way it is operating its
components so as to deliver the results to the different stakeholders which are part of the
business. It is a model which is helpful in developing the understanding that in which the human
resource department of a company have developed its policies and in which way it has been
structured so as to deliver the output to the the business objectives(Kargiglioğlu and Bayram,
2020). It will be helpful to Hettie as there are employees who are working in different
departments in which they have to conduct the research in order to provide the products to
consumers. It helps in providing the outlining of the roles which the Hr department of a business
has to do as the Hettie is working in different areas which covers providing the bags, home
products or the accessories so the work of HR department gets expanded. The main goal of HR
operating model is to provide certain kind of help to the HR department to work with full
efficiency and productivity.

There are different components which can help a Hr department to function properly and those
are explained below-
Technology- If the business would be able to make the implementation of technology in
the Hr department then with this the managers would be in a position to collect and
gather the information which would be helpful to them to communicate with the other
employees efficiently(Maciaszczyk and Kocot, 2021). Hettie provides classic collections
which are inspired with everyday life and for the effective management of employees
technology can help greatly and also at a faster rate. When the work will be done in a
form of automation then the process of business can reduce the work of HR.
Processes- The process in Hr will mean the strategies which will be used by the manager
of a Hr department to implement the work so that it can help in achieving the objectives
of a company. The process which the manager has to use is considered to be the most
important because with it the other departments function in a more productive and
healthy manner. Hettie if uses the Hr process with great effectiveness then with it the
productivity in the employees can be increased and also the employee retention will also
be at a higher rate.
Metrics- Metrics are the important methods which are helpful in leading to positive
actions which helps the Hr department to solve their problems in a more simple yet in
highly valuable manner. There are many and varied type of metrics which are available
for the Hr department which can be used by them to make the business in a better
position. Hettie Hr department can use it which covers the absence rate that is helpful in
making the analysis of the number of employees which are absent.
Structure- It is very important that the Hr department is divided into different structures
which helps in making the work in a more simplistic manner and to accomplish the
objectives(SINGH and et. al., 2021). As Hettie is a very successful business which
provides its products not just in one country but also in different countries so that
requirement of employees in that is higher. When the HR department is divided into
different areas of functionality then with this it becomes very essential that the
department of a business is divided into different areas.
Roles- There are different roles which are played by the Hr department employees and
the manager which covers to make the recruitment of candidates according to the talent

methods which can be used by the company in order to attract the right and talented employees
and those are explained below-
Using social media- Social media has now become the most usable and most important
platforms on the Internet which are having more then millions of people. People are more
into such websites which makes it very simpler for the company Hr manager to find out
the talented employee on the basis of making the advertisement on the social media
where the presence of people is high. Hettie can use such type of method which is kind of
innovative and will also be able to attract higher number of employees because of the
advertisement that they will check on any of the social media website.
Leveraging technology- It is quite difficult top retain the right and talented employees
because of the competencies which are existing in the market. There are many people
who go up with the process of hiring and they are the one who does not get any
consideration to hiring. This is occurred because of the issue of lack of resources which
the organisation might not be having which creates the issue of not being able to hire the
right employee. So with this, business like Hettie can make the use of Artificial
intelligence and different machine learning system in order to recruit the right employee a

Networking at candidate specific events- This is the most innovative and useful method
also in which networking can help in providing the benefit to the HR manager in getting
the talented employees for the work. With this they can link their business with the local

Developing managers into coaches- The managers in a company are considered to be an

helps in providing the direction to the employees so that they can work in a clear way
which can help in the achievement of objectives. The managers can be helpful in
providing the right set of information and developing skills to the employees. Employees
only need that the skill of them is developed in a more productive and better manner so
that their skills can be developed and they can work towards the accomplishment of
business strategy of a company. Managers can help the employees in making the
development of an employee by asking them the role which they will be performing so
that they can make them learn about the skills which is required by them to be learned
and the challenges which they are going to face in context with the work which they have
to conduct on a daily basis.
Cross-departmental collaboration- This is also the another way by which the employee
would be in a position to make the development in the skills and the performance which
will be directly affecting with the objectives of a company. This is considered to be the
