The forces for change which are causing HP to undertake the organizational change
includes:
Outside Forces Related to Change- It includes the different cloud-based document
exchanges which are making the different customers less reliant on the printers. Moreover,
HP has the difficulty in breaking in tablet market which is mainly dominated by the other
competitors which are present in the respective scenario (Van der Voet and Vermeeren 252).
Moreover, the revenue of the HP Company has been in the position of continual decline and
it makes the shareholders lose faith in the company.
Inside Forces Related to Change- On the other hand, the decision of the company HP
of laying off more than 50000 employees during restructuring, it led to issues related to
productivity. Moreover, the company had to restructure into two different clusters which
affected their efficiency and growth (Cummings, Bridgman and Brown 60).
Therefore, these are the two forces both inside and outside which are leading to the
ineffectiveness in the different services which are provided by HP and it impacted their
growth prospects negatively.
