Introduction
The report will discuss about the objectives of the management strategy which includes two
activities and the discussion will be done with an example on a personal level. The e-learning
activities help in analyzing the own experience with the organization and how one is able to
analyze it effectively.
Week 1: Activity 1: Ford and Taylorism
Answer 1. It has been seen that in the current time, Australia, America and Europe are not able
to accept the theory of Taylorism with original forms. The time has changed with technology
working on the automation with no wisdom and is also applied for the proper establishment of
the theory (Vidal, 2015)
The example is how Ford is able to work towards the enhancement of growth potential of car
manufacturing through properly assessing the different individual parts that are important for
building the auto-mobile from small to large components.
Answer 2: The applications of the theory are determined with Taylorism that includes the
consideration of call centers with certain extent. Here, the operations are divided into the
different sectors with work divisions that are done depending upon the employee expertise and
the other job roles. This can easily be assigned for the employees, as per the requirements.
The less time consumption and the attractive packages for the employees are considered to be
improving and promoting the company at a larger scale (Lackner, 2017).
Answer 3: The industries need to work with handling the applications and the relevant ideas.
The management is introduced through a century ago, where the principles are then coined with

long lasting effects (Holcombe, 2018). The work division with rewards that are given for the
employee hard ware and introduction techniques are considered to be the golden rules for
handling the ventures of startup. The applications and the utilization of the same can lead to
guarantee of success growth as well.
The introduction factors include the less consumption of time and understanding the introduction
to assembly line. There are requirements which focus on how the workers are able to pull the car
through the workstation one after the other (Waring, 2016). It allows them to work with the
different perspectives where the employees are attracted for applying at the company at a certain
pricing. It works with handling the saving of time and then reducing efforts of the workers if
there has been adoption of the support and not only having any tangible benefits. CEO of FedEx
when interviewed held the leading business with taking care of the employees to handle the
business standards. 100% productivity is maintained with security to check on the workforce
with ensuring about the delegation of responsibilities. It also leads to handling the productivity
with employee attrition.
Week 2: Activity 1: Thomas Friedman on Globalization; 3 Eras of
Globalization; World is flat
Answer 1: Friedman, with flat world holds the platform where there are no barriers and people
can easily work on communicating with easy collaboration across the boundaries. It has been
seen that there are certain issues with the hazards of the living in the flat world of Globalization
3.0. It includes:
a. The business ethics with reducing the freedom of organization. The example is related to
handle the company shifting in a developing country mainly for the reduction of costs.

b. There are different people working on the different thoughts (Friedman, 2017).
c. There are no major boundaries set for the people who can easily do what they want to. It
includes the creation of the rules for proper trading purposes as well.
The major problems comes with the living in the flat world of globalization. Hence, there are
failures related to the strategic standards with aggressive localization as well. The multinational
firms seem to be working on the choice to make and wait for the emerging markets like India and
China. There are instances to hold the belief for the retail environment in China with quick
emergence.
Answer 2:
Yes, I completely agree with the iron rule of Friedman which highlights about how the flat world
can do what needs to be done and it is done by the individuals only. With the advancement of the
technologies, the people can easily work on what they want (Eriksen, 2014). Here, the example
is about Southwest Airline that tend to start and work on the website setup where the people are
going to download and handle the printing of the bar-coded boarding passes as well. The
individuals need to come with the ticket agents and then people might be able to learn about the
new things and what one likes or dislikes effectively.
Answer 3:
The statement is based on the forms with countries who are globalized from 1400 to 1800. Here,
Friedman opinioned about the year of 1453 which puts into the trading routes for risks as well.
The European nations also work on establishing the sea route areas with Asia working on the
diminishing of the cost structure analysis (Giudici et al., 2018). It works on handling the era with
the multinational companies working on handling the exchange of goods with capital set through

the geographical boundaries. These are important to spread some infectious diseases with
recognition of the second risks after there is a second era.
Conclusion
The discussion has been done for Friedman and Taylorism in the two blogs above where the
globalization has been a major factor of concern. It highlights about the techniques and the
problems which needs to work with competitive markets, cultivation of infrastructure, education
and the governance. Friedman then believes to understand the economic performance which is
important for adopting the global cultural practices.
