This unit highlights the national cultures through the Hofstede and Trompennar models. This
study increases the underlying factors that affect the globalisation and cultural differences.
Globalisation is a modern concept which links the business and its operation at the international
scale. Globalisation mandates how a business is run and the ability of managing the business at the
foreign environment (Hoffmann and Kumar 2013). The top factors that affect globalisation are
cultural, economic and the legal political factors. Economic factor highlights the amount of profit and
the revenue earned by a company. While the legal political factor highlights that a company must
abide by the law and the must be aware of the present political state of a country where it is
carrying its core operations. the cultural factors that a company must take into account are the
national values of a host country and the national culture of the host country. The cultural aspects of
the home country and the foreign country must consider the cultural and the national values of the
respective employees (Hogan and Coote 2014).
There are hotel companies, banks that are present both in New Zealand and Australia. These
companies have kept a close note on how the international employees fit into companies that are
located in other companies. The culture of each country varies and information regarding the culture
of a specific country is accurately provided by the Hofstede model. Hofstede model emphasizes on
the five major dimensions and analyses a country based on such dimension (Venaik and Brewer
2013).
