Introduction
Self-reflection is the study which helps in presenting of own skills and knowledge that has been
gained from the overall research study. The things which have been learned in the project study
is mentioned and highlighted so that it can be related to the overall outcome of respective
research topic. The conclusion is also drawn at the end.

Week 1
In this week the nature and scope of research study has been learned through various approaches
and elements provided by the tutor. In this week the lecturer has provided with sufficient raw
materials and resources so that the project can be formulated systematically. My research topic is
Cyber Security Challenges in Businesses that is emerging issue in this contemporary business
environment. We have also been provided with video and audio presentation so that the research
can be performed in accordance to raw data.
Week 2
In the second week I learned about the research design and planning which is foremost element
in the project study. I gained specific knowledge about research design and its approach to the
practical applicability. With the help of appropriate research design and approaches it leads to
generating of accurate and reliable results. I learned that the exploratory research design is very
helpful in my project study and I choose the respective design so that more facts and figures can
be obtained from Cyber Security Challenges in Businesses.
Week 3
From the third week I get to understand about the literature review concepts and framework and
its applicability in the project study. The literature review is main section of project study which
helps in analysing of secondary data effectively and efficiently. The main emphasis in the
research study is gained on the secondary data and the use of books, journal, articles and others
is made so that theoretical approach to the research topic can be made. I learnt about the use of
various author’s views and thoughts and presenting their data so that effective results can be
oriented.
Week 4
In this week I learned about the legal as well ethical consideration that has been used in the
project study. For carrying out the project efficiently it is important to consider the legal
obligations and ethical considerations so that confidentiality of information can be obtained.
From the week I learnt about how consent of people has been considered ethically and legally. I

learnt the lesson that all of research activities must be done within ethical framework. I also,
learn about the privacy, legal and other considerations so that honest participation can be made.
Week 5
From this week I grasped about the qualitative and quantitative aspects of research. The main
emphasis in this week is given on quantitative data, sampling techniques as well as participation
observation. The lecturer has provided with in-depth knowledge and understanding about both
the research approaches. This is so because in the project both of these methods have been taken
into consideration. I learnt about the significance of using sampling method and qualitative
methods such as observation, focus groups and others. The project is helpful for my future career
and profession. The methods used and taught by the lecturer are helpful in other big researches
as well.
Week 6
The subject matter which has been emphasized in the week sixth was focus groups, qualitative
research, interviewing and others. All of these elements are important components in a project
study which is needed to be considered significantly. The whole project study is based on
determining the suitable research approach and following of relevant methods and approaches.
The tools and techniques have been used to form interview questions and analysis has been made
accordingly.
Week 7
In the seventh week of project study the significance of qualitative data and its analysis has been
made. The main focus is made on qualitative data analysis and the induction of systematic
process and activities is carried in this week. From this week I learned about qualitative data
analysis for my assignment study. I came to understand various tools and methods used for
presenting of reliable secondary data.
Week 8
This week explained about the nature and sampling method used in the quantitative research and
the main focus of lecture was on the meaning, concepts and elements of quantitative research.

With the use of qualitative data it is important to pay equal emphasis on quantitative data so that
accuracy with research topic can be analysed. The use of probability sampling and non-
probability sampling method is aimed in this week.
Week 9
In the ninth week I learnt about the use of structured and semi-structured questions and interview
used for collecting data from respondents. In this week the designing of questions in a structured
format and other important elements is discussed.
Week 10
From this week I learned about the differences that exist in between the approaches and its
application to respective project topic. For my assignment there is a significant use of such
approach which helps in deriving the reliability and validity results.
Week 11
In this week I understand about the use of statistical, mathematical model so that a descriptive
statistics using certain test such as Z-test, ANOVA and others can be used in the following
project study. The lecture of this week has helped me in applying of qualitative data and analysis
in my assignment.
Week 12
The twelve week aims at linking about the qualitative and quantitative approaches i.e. mixed
approach and the way it can be used in the project study. The results are oriented with the help of
such approaches so that valid results can be obtained.

Conclusion
It is concluded from the report that from all the weeks’ assessment I am able to gather sufficient
knowledge and skills that has helped me in completing my project study effectively and
efficiently. I experienced that how ethics helps in protecting of data and lead to avoiding of
fraud.
