Introduction and Reflective Journal Scope
This report presents the impact of international students on the Australian economy. Moreover,
it also explains the advantages of international students to the colleges in Australia. It also
demonstrates the disadvantageous of an international student in the Australian economy. It also
illustrates the research methodology which will be used by a researcher to attain the aim and
objectives in a systematic manner. This reflective journal has a wider scope as it aids to
understand the impact of international students on the Australian economy.

Evaluate the effectiveness and your usefulness of the learning experience
I gained my knowledge regarding the impact of international students on the Australian
economy. In this way, I pointed that the education of international students in the Australian
institution by the year is increasing. It is also analyzed that Australia has the biggest nation for
international student and residential students. I have also observed that Australia is a leading
English destination that is most required for the study of international study. This learning
experience was useful for me to make research on the international student. From the assignment
1, I have also observed that international students are the biggest contributors who gain revenues
of international export for the Australian economy. It is evaluated that international student has
generated about more than 2 billion dollars annually in the Australian economy. This learning
experience would be useful for me to focus on the international student in Australia.
This research has also developed my experience that spills of international education over the
other industries of the economy. This research has also built my knowledge about that there are
more than 6.6 billion dollars each year is expand by the international student on the tuition and

4.3 billion dollars on the food with accommodation. This learning experience is effective for me
to start the tuition for the international student.
Explain how this learning process will be useful to you
This course was useful for me to understand the usefulness of international student in Australian
college. In this way, I have observed that the international students enhance the long-term
goodwill and comprehension about the international students in Australia and the country from
which the student will drive. This learning process will be useful for me to apply my knowledge
in the Australian college. I have also pointed that all the economic benefits come from the
investment in the education and research competencies. It will be essential for me to enhance my
career in education and research in the Australian economy.
Through the assignment 1, I have also increased my understanding the existing Australian stock
regarding international student would definitely contribute thirty thousand and one hundred skills
immigrants to their employees after the graduate of the learner. This new knowledge would be
applied by me to invest on the international students as I can get an effective return. This
research has also developed my awareness that the international students endorse the Australian
economy at the regional level. It is also evaluated that 5% of international student living in
Australia and researching in the areas of the region. This learning will be applied by me to
promote the international education in Australia. As a result, it has developed my marketing
skills.
I have also built my understanding about the disadvantageous of an international student in
Australia. In this way, I have pointed that there are certain reservations regarding increasing
number of the international student as there are drawbacks which student have come into the
Australian economy. I have also gained my comprehension that the concentration of

international students in Australia has caused the unfavorable impact on the housing and
infrastructure. This learning would be applied by me when investing on the international student.
I have also increased my comprehension that the international students are declining the quality
of Australian university. I have found that the key challenge is that the boom in the number of
international student due to a bad experience and lack of capacity. I have developed my
experience that the international students are fighting due to limited opportunity in Australia and
stiff competition from the local students. This learning would be applied by me to more focus on
the international student in Australia. I have also addressed the gap in the literature review. In
this way, I have learned that there is a requirement for identifying the concerns which affected
the international student. I will apply this knowledge in the future to make further research.
Describe objectively what happened in the learning process
I read different sources to understand the research methodology. Through the assignment 2, I
have developed my knowledge about the primary and secondary questions. In this way, I have
developed my understanding that primary question will be responded through the interview and
secondary questions will be resolved through literature review. I have also learned that both
qualitative and quantitative research would be applied by me to conduct the investigation. In this
way, I have gained my experience that qualitative research would be beneficial to generate the
theoretical understanding of the impact of an international student on the Australian economy. I
have also observed that the quantitative research design would be practiced for conducting the
interview and gather the numerical information about the research concern.
Evaluate what you learn
The business research was useful for me in research learning procedure. In this way, I have
observed that to understand the international student issue and utilizing the learning style as well

as preferences, a researcher will be required for conducting the periodic personal interview
through the different group of international students. I have gained my experience that the
personal interview will be conducted from one group of international students from one nation of
origin. This business research was effective for me to apply this knowledge in the research
process. I have also built my learning that the second approach will be used to conduct the
personal interview from the different set of international students.
Explain your learning process
In assignment 1, I did different activities such as identifying research concern, objectives and
literature review to assess the impact on an international student on the Australian economy. In
assignment 2, I did some activities such as addressing the research question, research
methodology and developing time plan and identifying limitation of research. The main cause of
using these activities during the research was to accomplish the aim and objectives of research in
a systematic manner.
Explain Plan how this learning you will apply
From the assignment 2, I have developed my understanding of the sampling process. It would be
beneficial to choose the respondents from a large number of population. As a result, I will apply
this knowledge in the future for analyzing the data in depth. I have also increased my experience
about the research limitation that would be requisite for attaining the investigation in the long
term. In this way, I have learned that the interpretation of findings from the interview on the
student would be limited to responses given by the participants. I have also increased my
understanding of the Time Schedule for the proposed research. In this way, I have observed that
time plan would be beneficial for completing the different research activities on the specified
time. As a result, I will apply this knowledge in the future to make a time schedule.

Conclusion
As per the above interpretation, it can be summarised that international student has both positive
and negative impact on the Australian economy. It can be also concluded that both qualitative, as
well as quantitative research design, would be practiced for completing the research in a
methodological way.
