This is a self-reflection paper that aims to show the learning experience after accomplishing assignment 1 and assignment 2. The student reflects on increasing their learning on accounting systems used in companies and how this will facilitate the attainment of future career goals. The student gathered experience on evaluating the ways in which global companies decide their implementation of accounting system implementation within its business processes and also explains that effective accounting systems use has useful contributions in meeting business needs. The reflection covers the effectiveness and usefulness of the learning experience, actions taken during the process, evaluation of learning, the learning process itself, and the application of the acquired knowledge.

Effectiveness of My Experience
Accomplishing the assignment 1 and assignment 2 has increasing my learning on
accounting systems use in companies that can facilitate me in attainment of future career
goals. The subject that was selected for carrying out research was “challenges in accounting
in global organizations”. This topic increased my knowledge on proper implementation of
accounting systems in managing accounting process within international companies. I have
also attained increased knowledge on the suitable ways of recognising challenges associated
with the accounting process followed within companies worldwide (Apostolou et al. 2017). I
have also attained a clear understanding on the usefulness of accounting in my future career
that can provide me with ability to attain important information of the company’s financial
position. Through attaining knowledge from assignment 1 and 2, I have gathered adequate
experience on evaluating the ways in which global companies decide their implementation of
accounting system implementation within its business processes. I have also attained learning
that it is important for global companies in conducting suitable employee training so that they
can use accounting systems in a proper way and deal with associated accounting challenges
(Bird, Land and Athanassiou 2015).
Usefulness of My Experience
The learning experience that I gathered from completing both assignment 1 and 2 will
facilitate me in contributing to my future organization through developing reliable, credible,
transparent along with accurate accounting information that can support business operations.
Moreover, my learning experience from the research also explained that effective accounting
systems use has useful contributions in meeting business needs in consideration to consumer
relations, human resource management along with carrying out other accounting functions
(Dickfos, Cameron and Hodgson 2014). The research also increased my knowledge on

extracting suitable financial information of the companies that can support in making better
economic decisions and implementing suitable course of action.
Actions Taken During My Experience
I have attained numerous useful implications in accomplishing assignment 1 and 2
regarding the ways in which suitable implementation of accounting systems can facilitate in
dealing with challenges related with accounting use in global companies. In conducting this
research, I considered to undertake exploratory research that has facilitated in resolving the
research issues (Gray, Brennan and Malpas 2014). Moreover, I also considered collecting
recent data on the use of accounting systems and challenges faced by selected organizations
through personal interviews and questionnaire development. During my learning experience I
also considered using 3 books, 5 journals and 1 website in gathering suitable data. In
attaining suitable data on challenges related with use of accounting systems I conducted
quantitative research in attaining important data to increase understanding in the research
topic. This increased my learning on extracting reliable view punts from the respondents on
effectiveness of accounting systems used in their companies (Maroun and Atkins 2018).
Evaluation of My Learning
From completing both the assignments 1 and 2 I have gathered increased
understanding on the current days organizational structure. My learning has also revealed that
all the companies worldwide are focused on implementing accounting systems that can
facilitate them in dealing with challenges relayed with technicality, affectivity, lack of speed
and safety in the accounting processes. I have also gathered that such learning experience will
be helpful for me in ensuring better human resource management, customer relationship
management and business operations (McGuigan and Kern 2016). Through completing these
assignments, my knowledge increased regarding use of Sage 50, Xero and Intriut accounting

software that can be used by me in my future organization for attaining competitive
advantages. In addition, I have also realized that I am aware of all the recent developments
that took place in the accounting systems for addressing challenges of information theft or
loss.
My Learning Process
From analysing the challenges in the accounting systems used by organizations I have
gathered an increased understanding on the accounting software that can offer relevant
financial information to companies in making suitable economic decisions. I have also
attained an understanding that there is an increased need for the companies in upgrading their
accounting practices (Travers, Morisano and Locke 2015). My learning process was effective
to attain detailed knowledge on challenges that can be faced by organization in implementing
accounting systems within their organizations that includes high implementation cost,
decreased speed, absence of expertise and gaps in action. In realising such challenges, I
attained better learning on the ways in which I can use cloud-based accounting systems in
maintaining financial records secure and safe. In addition, I also learned that such accounting
systems comes with better integrating system facilitating business in enhancing their
functionality.
Application of My Learning
The learning experience gathered by me will be of great support in my future
professional course that I am willing to undertake on accounting subject. The knowledge
gathered will facilitate me in serving my future organization through implementing my
knowledge on addressing accounting systems challenges and developing new accounting
processes. This can facilitate my organization to attain competitive advantages in accounting
processes (Witjes, Vermeulen and Cramer 2017). My learning experience will be helpful for

me in conducting budget, payroll, stock and sales analysis in my professional career. I can
use my learning experience in monitoring effectiveness of my future organization’s
accounting systems and will be able to apply updated accounting systems to improve
efficiency of all its business operations. My learning experience will support my professional
development process and I will be able to pursue the opportunities in completing any
accounting course in future at an international level.
Conclusion
The self-reflection paper intended to attain learning experience after accomplishing
the assignment 1 and assignment 2 that has facilitated me in increasing my learning on
accounting systems use in companies that can facilitate me in attainment of future career
goals. It was gathered from the self-reflection paper that through attaining knowledge from
assignment 1 and 2, I have gathered adequate experience on evaluating the ways in which
global companies decide their implementation of accounting system implementation within
its business processes. I have also concluded that my learning also explained that effective
accounting systems use has useful contributions in meeting business needs.
