Overview
Social media has become the backbone of all businesses as it facilitates in connecting with the
customers. I have learnt through my learning process that there are many business advantages
that business can find in the usage of social media platform. Along with that I have found that
there are many factors in the form of disadvantages of social media exist that may lead the
business into adverse situation due to use of social media.
Effectiveness and use of the learning experience
According to my opinion, I have observed that there should be a qualified workforce to oversee
business online networking as these issues becomes a major reason of the failure of the business.
I have learnt that the web-based social networking is vital which again requires maintenance of
cash. It has been found that the big organization that has a huge case can handle again at the
similar period the organization, which has small capital searches it hard to do. During my
learning process, I have learnt that the value of customers are remarkable for the growth of the
business and in case of any issues or concerns of customers, a business organization should
endeavour to resolve the concerns of the customer as soon as possible. The business should
maintain the good will of the company in a significant manner and do not entertain the trolls by
customers over the business as it can tarnish the goodwill of a company (Sekaran and Bougie,
2016). The value of this experience is enormous for me as I got to know about various factors
regarding social media that may lead business either peak point of growth or in to the adverse
situation.

Usefulness of learning process
This learning process will be useful for me as I will be more conscious and aware while using
social media tools in my future career. Careful action will be encouraging me to move ahead in
my business by considering the negative factors of social media tool. Techniques will facilitate
me to prevent any hazardous situation or handle the conflict situation within the business due to
social media marketing. I have learnt that Customers and non-clients had endeavoured to
blackmail business entities and asked for some compensation like rebates, discounts and even
cash for not distribution bad remarks via social networking sites. I will apply my knowledge in
my future career by considering these factors so that I could not encourage these kinds of
activities which is related to the corruption. Sometimes security of the business organization
comes at hazard because of information communication that occurs through social networking
sites (Huang and Benyoucef, 2013). So every business should be little cautious with this.
Activity in the learning process
In the learning process, I used the secondary qualitative and quantitative research that facilitates
me to understand the concept of gathering the information in quantity way and quality way.
These techniques are being chosen by me because it increases the opportunities to attain insights
at the time of the examination (Lewis, 2015). It was helpful for me to get a described data in the
relation of the impact of social networking in the business purpose (Cheston, Flickinger and
Chisolm, 2013). I made a research plan in a more significant manner so that every activity of the
research can be arranged in a systematic way. I have found that with the help of action plan, I
was able to categorize the each activity in more systematic manner. I went through with various
journal articles and books to get a better understanding of the use of social media in the business.

Evaluation of the learning
The business research was very useful for the research leaning as it assists me to recognize the
complete notion of the research topic. The business research helps to understand the importance
of the advertisement on social media sites as it permits reaching targeted and retargeted
customers. I have learnt through a learning process that the role of social networking is more
beneficial in comparison of disadvantages. Some of them are its velocity, for instance, it has
been found that online shopping has become more well-known in social networking sites. It is
usually noticeable that online sites posting their products on Facebook, Instagram. They get
instant condemnation on their product if it is not good adequate (Stephen and Galak, 2012).
Explanation of the learning process
I did particular activities in Assignment 1 and Assignment 2 in which the role of both
assignments are different as they give me a better understanding of the notion of the research.
The first assignment helped me to understand the depth information about the role of social
media in the business as I understood that business issues will be more noticeable and it is
necessary for the business to protect them from a hazardous situation. Throughout second
assignment I used research methodologies in which secondary qualitative and quantitative
method were used. There were some research limitations described in a more significant manner
that it is so expensive to access data as they need to purchase (Treem and Leonardi, 2013).
Applied learning
I will apply this learning in my future to increase my knowledge concerning the employ of social
media in business. This learning process might apply in my future business because I got enough
knowledge about those factors that may lead the business into the adverse situation. I have found

that qualified personnel are required to manage social media. The social network may
recommend very attractive advertising to the public but it also spreads bad things, which are a
threat to the company (Correa, Hinsley and De Zuniga, 2010). I have observed that to avoid this
circumstance the company should provide the best service and solution customers' complaints. I
will take care of the use of social media in my future and apply the effective strategy to attain the
benefits from the social media strategies.
