Introduction
Hickory Group is a famous construction organization which underlined a large number of
projects under its strong supervision and control. In this paper, we will discuss the different
projects managed by the Hickory Group and differentiate them with each other. These projects
are mainly Hickory Buildings, La Trobe Tower, and Unitized Building. On the basis of this
study, we can learn more about the advancement added by the organization in its every project.
Furthermore, it also gives us an understanding of risk management and project success
measurement way adopted by the Hickory Group to maintain its efficiency.
Technical Innovations
Hickory worked on all its projects with greater efficiency and higher responsibility. But the
technical focus of these projects makes them different from each other. In its first project of
Unitized Building, Hickory Group adds the technical feature of automatic systems which make it
ideal for Low-rise buildings. Technical advancement in this project makes it congruent by adding
high-rise towers and structures where facades are curtain-glazed (Arashpour, 2016). On the other
hand, Hickory groups in its first project of La Trobe Tower add the feature of advancement by
implementing integrated high-rise structural methodology. This technical advancement of the La
Trobe Tower project makes it the country’s tallest building constructed with the prefabricated
techniques. Furthermore, Hickory Building project of the company is totally different from the
other two projects in technical basis. It is totally based on the advanced structural blueprint
which is implemented by using alongside on-site and ex-situ processes.

Managerial or Business Innovations
Apart from the technical innovation difference, these projects are also different on managerial
and business innovation phases. Hickory Building Groups mainly focuses more on the flexibility
rather than conventional techniques. Its flexibility makes it possible to prove productive for the
purpose of every business organization. On the other hand, this project mainly believes in the
adoption of the on-site and off-site building process for achieving managerial efficiency which
can't achieve by using other technique. In addition, La Trobe Tower project of the company
mainly concentrates on prefabricated techniques which allow greater efficiency of functions on a
timely basis. On the other hand, it mainly utilizes the conventional modular constructions to
improve the managerial innovation and efficiency of functions performed directly for the success
of the project (Samarasinghe, 2017). Moreover, Unitized Building project mainly utilizes the
event grade managerial innovation method to offer the faster, safer and more stable construction
approaches. Such type of managerial and business innovation ways of all three projects causes
the huge difference between them.
Off-site Construction
All these three projects of the Hickory Group also differ from each other on off-site construction
basis. Off-site construction manner of the La Trobe Tower differs from others in a significant
manner. It is because its off-site way is fully covered with the prefabricated components. Due to
this, it successfully able to reduces the level of traffic pileups, and waste or emissions by 90%
(Holzer, 2014). Furthermore, Unitized Building project off-site construction is fully covered with
the discrete and modeling planning which resulting in speedier construction and confidence in
meeting set timelines. Moreover, Hickory building project off-site construction is mainly

covered with the conventional and the traditional system methods. Management of off-site
construction by using such advanced techniques allows it to leverage safety and reducing energy
and material loss up to a certain limit.
Management of risk or the construction issues during the
Projects150
Risk and construction issues in the La Trobe Tower project managed by the skillful
amalgamation of expert knowledge of traditional construction and sophisticated manufacturing
techniques. This method of risk and construction issue prevention helped it in completing the
construction before the eight months of deadline prescribed by the client of the project.
Furthermore, Hickory Building Project managed the risk and construction issues in its success by
utilizing and adopting huge methods such as lean construction technique, enterprise resource
planning, and building information modeling system (Wong, 2015). These methods allow it to
finish the project 60% faster than the traditional management systems adopted by the others. ON
the other hand, Unitized Building project mainly adopts the way of system’s structural
configuration to avoid risk and construction issues in its success. System Structural configuration
management way helps t in designing a compatible solution with the required quality and design.
Measurement of Project Success
Success measurement ways of these projects are also different from each other. This difference
exists due to the difference in their motives and working behavior. The La Trobe Tower project
mainly measures its success on the basis of technical performance and quality of the project. It is
because both of these are considered the motive of the project which it wants to accomplish.

Achievement of both the things will automatically give the feeling of project success to its team.
On the other hand, Hickory Building Project mainly measures its success on flexibility and
timeline basis (Yusof, 2016). Accomplish the deadline with the required flexibility is the aim of
Hickory Building Project which gives it huge satisfaction. Furthermore, Unitized Building
project mainly measures its success on the basis of technical innovativeness and the efficiency of
project execution. The accomplishment of these two determinants highly gives the feeling of
satisfaction to its team members.
Conclusion
After studying the existing difference between all the three project on the given circumstances, it
can be said that project execution and goals are the main reason behind the creation of these
differences. La Trobe Tower, Hickory Building, and Unitized Building project are differentiated
on every parameter of the project. This difference becomes the main reason of their popularity
and demand in the existing marketplace. Thus, it can be said that Hickory Group Projects are
always different and interesting than its competitors.
