INTRODUCTION
Reflective report includes creative writing which evaluates and examine the situation and
experiences of self learnings. It describes personal and professional development traits and skills
which are inherited by individuals (Bowman, 2021). This report will discuss about the skills
which are required for higher education and their importance which is linked to success and
performance. Assessment tool is determined which analyse personal profile. This report also
includes reflective practice which assesses personal skills and skill gaps.
MAIN BODY
Definition of higher education skills and their importance to higher education learners.
Higher education skills can also be referred as academic skills which are strategies, habits
and the abilities of individual which assist learners in getting success in their respective course. It
is the main requirement of universities and educational institutes that they demand skills for
improvement of abilities of their students (Higgins, 2021). These skills help students in learning
their various topics and provide them knowledge how to solve critical questions according to the
requirements. It increases the level of competence, self-esteem and confidence of students which
results in getting good grades in their higher education. There are various skills which plays
important role in higher education includes creative thinking, critical thinking, collaboration and
communication skills. The combination of these skills assists students in accomplishment of their
academic requirements in proper manner.
These skills are responsible in developing the knowledge which were required for
accomplishment of goals. It provides motivation and boost morale of students during their
learning process so that they can achieve good grades in their academics. There are number of
benefits and significance of higher education skills which can be evaluated with the help of
appropriate evaluation criteria (Kalu, 2019). It lower down the pressure and stress of students by
providing them effective ideas which can resolve their queries and doubts in appropriate manner.
This directly improves their performance and productivity during studying their courses which
provides them success. Higher education skills contribute great efforts in the development of

I possess effective presentation skills
which helps in presenting and sharing
my ideas among other in effective
manner. it provides opportunity in
developing better understanding with
others.
It becomes difficult for me to carry out
multiple operations at a time. Due to
lack of time management skills, I face
challenges in meeting deadlines. It is
one of the major weaknesses which
need to be focused.
Sometimes I failed in making decisions
which are best suitable according to the
requirements. It is important to improve
this skill so that errors and mistakes can
be minimised in desired manner.
Opportunities Threat
The leadership skills which I possess
becomes by biggest opportunity as it is
highly attractive trait. Organisations
also looking to hire individuals who can
effectively lead teams so that collective
goals can be achieved.
I can handle technical operations in
appropriate manner as I possess
technical skills. Nowadays there can be
seen higher amount of requirement in
technical field as most of the operations
are interconnected with the technology.
There are some of the skills which are
lacking in order to get higher
opportunities such as collaborative
skills. This can become threat during
studying courses of respective field
(Meuwissen and Watson, 2022).
Increase in the number of competitions
is one of the major threats which can
affect the growth of an individual.
There are many competitors who
possess better knowledge and
capabilities which act as challenging
factor.

skills like communication, team working, presentation skills, problem-solving and IT skills. All
these skills are highly essential for studying at higher level so that I can effectively achieve
higher grades in assessments and examinations. With the help of these skills are developed
required confidence level which assist in carrying out operations without any hesitation and fear
(Tote and Rawekar, 2020). It is important to develop and nurture most essential abilities and
skills so that one can improve their overall personality for the accomplishment of their personal
as well as professional targets. Combination of these skills will provide better opportunities in
future for establishment of career in desired direction. There are some of the skills such as time
management, multitasking and decision making which need to be improved. Appropriate
resources should be utilised for improvement of these skills such as assistance and guidance of
professionals and experts.

From the above report, it can be concluded that reflective reports involve all the abilities and
potentials of an individual which are inherited with the past experiences of learnings. It describes
abilities which are used for the further development of career in required field. There are number

challenges and threats while carrying out operations so that personal growth can be achieved.
