Reflective learning is been defined as the learning which involves involving personal
experiences relating to the learning. It is very essential for the person to have a reflective
learning because it outlines making the learning more conscious process. This assists the person

the person can easily gain a competitive position within the market and this will provide them
with good learning and development. As a result of this development and growth the person can
stand aside and this will make them popular and capable. Hence it can be stated that the use of
reflective learning approach is very essential and useful for the person in attaining a competitive
advantage. Also the use of Gibbs reflective cycle will assist them in developing a base for

understanding other elements as well. In addition to the improvement relating to formative and
summative assessment a person can also improve their other skills as well (Naicker and Van
Rensburg, 2018). There are many different skills like communication time management team
working and many other which can also be learnt with help of the feedback and feed forward.

growth and development. The reason underlying this fact is that in case the reflective approach is
not being used for the learning. This will affect the learning process as in case the use of
reflection will not be undertaken then this will result in person not understanding there in
