INTRODUCTION
There is need to develop study skills which can be highly helpful and provide better
control within study. It can also help to better organise and meet new challenges in process of
degree. There is need to gain study skill for the higher education which can be highly effective
and help to better achieve the degree of higher education. There is discussion about different
learning style which can include in VARK model. There is also discussion about the personal
experience about a use of learning style or any technique which can be helpful for study better.
There is also discussion about important reading technique which can be helpful for student and
allow to become more efficient reader and help in achieving higher education (Cabual, 2021).
This may also include a different method of note taking which can be helpful for a student and
allow to remember new information more effectively. This can provide better outcome in
achieving higher education.
MAIN BODY
PROJECT 2
As a student, it is essential to read and read a lot. There are many time when students are
asked to read research studies, textbook, lecture, slides, new articles, web pages and other
instruction from teacher which can enable them to read through using their best trading
technique. In this, they need to require learning a lot of new information through different
resources which can enable them to develop their reading skills more effectively. It can also help
a them to improve their reading well through taking regular notes that can ensure that they
should not forget any new information. In context to this, there are various reading technique
which is effective and enable a student to become more efficient reader. This trading technique
may include skimming and scanning, detailed, active reading, speed-structure-proposition,
evaluation, survey question, read-recite-review (Shaheen and et. al., 2020).
Reading refers to a great habit which can influence individual life significantly. It can
also help to entertain individual and improve knowledge and experiences. There are some of the
existing reading technique which is highly effective during growing stage for the better
comprehensive reading. There are some of the reading style or technique which provide better
information and enable individual to improve their reading skill for help student to become
efficient readers.

Scanning through the text, refers to a reading strategy that is highly effective and used for
getting some specific point through looking at the text. There is need to highlight the important
point of book which enable reader to skim through the summary and enable them to begin and
end chapter more effectively. This technique can help lookup telephone guide book or any
important terms that should attract individual through just a getting in front of eye. This can be
effective and enable each student to perform well through collecting information after
highlighting the main points for terms. This is an effective way to improve the learning of
individual and can be utilised during finding the main text at the instant time.
Skimming is the reading technique that is highly useful and used in getting whole text.
This is the one in which this technique is used during a magazine or newspaper. This is the
technique in which individuals read quickly for getting main point and skip all the other detail.
This is the one in which an individual is searching for the main text that can provide a better
information about the whole text. This can also provide a summary of the passage that can be
effective to create information and get effectively for further use (Clinton, 2019). In this,
individual may read the whole text quickly and get the main point which have the summary of
the whole paragraph. This can enable to store the information more effectively and used in the
right place.
Active reading have to get in-depth understanding of text. This is the one in which
individual get involved with the text during reading it. This can lead to create depth knowledge
of the text which is not possible during skimming reading style or through scanning through the
text. This is the one in which individual need to perform very well and should focus on each and
every word more carefully at the gather the information in more depth. This can provide high
benefit to the individual and enable them to keep in mind more effectively rather than skimming
and scanning reading style.
Detailed reading is the reading technique that is highly effective and used for extractive
information from the provided text. This is a technique that can be used of every word for
understanding the text meaning.
Speed reading is one combination of various reading method which are increase a reading
speed without understanding the text (Yuldasheva and et. al., 2020). Reading some of the

Structure-proposition-evaluation refers to a reading technique that is mainly applicable to
non-fiction writing. This technique is suggested for following different patterns in which it
includes studying the structure of work, studying logical proposition made along with organised
within change of inference evaluation of merit of argument and conclusions. Reading technique
may include survey, questions, read, recite and review with have the aim to facilitate a clear
understanding of the text which can enable how to teach student what is learnt during the process
of reading. This may include different steps that is survey, question, read, recite and review.
Survey refers to a term which have a way to quick idea for writing purpose that may
include like summary of book for getting idea of the whole book. Question the first which can be
underline the meaning of text through making question and answers while reading the text.
Reading allow individual to selective in looking for any specific term (Lai and et. al., 2019).
Recite can include answering the question in own word that required sum of the complete idea.
Review refers to entire things within mind it can be basic foundation that allow individual to
focus on their academic skills.
These are some of the reading techniques that can allow students to become an efficient
reader and provide better understanding about effective response.
Every individual need to make notes and in which there is need to claim to take notes on
their laptops through using web and paper notebook to doodle introduction by couple of random
words. There is important to take note by using the approach to make connection between class
lecture and reading assignments. This can be effective and allow an individual to get connect
with their lectures and create a road map of these during learning process. There is a need to
make notes that can be use an important skill to ensure about the success within classroom. It can
have various importance like supporting, listening, allowing to test the understanding of material,
give some sense that instruction, thinking important and provide the ultimate study guide. There
are some of the method which are effective and provide a better outcome in note-taking that
allow in every student to remember new information. This may include the list method, the
outline method, the concept map method and the cornell method.
The list method is usually one of not the best choice because it have the focus exclusively
on capturing what has been proposed. It is not about processing the information here, student

who does not have enough learning skills use this method because it enable an individual in easy
thinking (Dodell-Feder and et. al., 2018). This is the initial stage of learning and should not
provide better outcome. Instead of this, when the individual have some shorthand skill, then they
would like to prefer another reading method instead of the listing method.
The outline method have the advantage that it allow prioritising the material. In this, it
use the left of the page and have proper detail of subordinate idea which can be intended for
other. This may include a numbering scheme that enable the subordinate idea to write on (Ho
and et. al., 2018). This may create trouble in identifying that move from one to another idea more
efficiently. It can help through getting practice and experience with stage instructor to not give
up. This stage enable student to determine their syllabus and key idea for plans to present
assignment within class.
The concept map method of note-taking allow an individual to especially capturing the
relationship among ideas. It provides a sense of understanding complex material at a glance. It
also provide flexibility to move from one idea to another. It refers to development of concept
map that can be using syllabus to rank the idea in detail (Rjeib and et. al., 2018). In this, there is
need to select an overriding idea then create a branches of that circle to record more detailed
information when new high-level idea is presented. It can create new branches and link together
with the circle concept that enable a relationship between the ideas.
The Cornell method includes four boxes one header, two columns and one footer. Here,
header is a small box at the top of the page that it allow for the identification information like
course name, date of the class. In the two columns, one on the left and one on the right that used
for capturing notes using any method outlined earlier. Here, left column is used for queue for
recall column that help to write the main ideas, questions, keywords, clarification and other
notes. Last, footer is used for or writing the summary of the class within one word which can be
a valuable tool to recall and study (Mohajan, 2018).
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion, it can be concluded that there is need for learning style which
can be effective and can allow individual to use those techniques to apply effectively that can
enable student to help in further study. In this, there is a discussion about the learning style
included in the VARK model. It also include the personal experience about describing learning
style or any technique which can be helpful for the student to study better. There is also

discussion about identifying important reading technique which enable each student to become
more efficient readers. There is also a discussion about four different method of note-taking that
enable each student to remember new information.
