Introduction
Personal and professional skills are vital in every individual especially students to maintain and
improve the performance in all workplace and university. The development of skills help the students in
solving their problems and also student find new ways of thinking. In this respect, the report will discuss
the three important skills such as time management skills, teamwork skills and the academic writing
skills. The report will state that how these skills will help the student of the university to succeed in the
future. The report will also cover the meaning and importance of skills to the student of each of the three
skills. Gaining skills will help the students in achieving the master's degree with the good grade.
Skills Analysis
Time Management Skill
It is a skill which helps the student in completing the particular tasks and activities in a less time.
For this the students have to divide the time between the specific activity and required to do regular
practice of completing the specific activity in that division time only. For example, solving a maths
question normally take half hour to complete the question. But regular practising the same question in the

time period of 15 minutes not only increases the time management skills in the student but also increases
the understanding of the particular maths subject (Kharadze, Gulua and Davit, 2017). This skill is
important for the student because it becomes necessary requirement at the time of examination where they
required to complete the exam in given time. By adopting and completing this skill student will
confidently complete all task on time. By regular practising will help student in improving time
management skills. After completing the time management skill, I am able to complete my daily
homework in less time than allotted. Because of gaining the TM skill, I am also able to distract myself
from social networking sites and now I am paying less attention towards the sites. This helps in increasing
my overall confidence. This skill also help me in reducing my stress level and o am able to complete my
do-to- list on daily basis.
Teamwork Skill
It is a skill which increases the ability of the student to effectively work in an organized group in
order to achieve the common goals of the whole team. Team work skill is basically required only when
the goal of the whole team are same. Teamwork skill helps the student in improving active listening and
effective speaking. For example, in case of any programs conducted in university where a dance
competition is organized. In this case, the common goal of each dance team is to win the competition and
also the requirement of team work skills (Wilson and Brookes, 2018). Team work skills is required in
order to gain the academic success and help the student in improving the critical thinking, collaboration
and leadership skills as well. By completing the teamwork skill, I am able to speak effectively on any
social event organized in the university. Teamwork skill teaches me that my voice is respectable and
valuable in the eyes of others. The TW skill further help me in setting my goals for future success. In
order to improve this skill, I had start working in a team and coordinate with the team to achieve a
common goal.
Academic Writing Skill
It is a skill which indicate that writing any content or essay must be clear, concise, focussed,
structured and backed up by the fact, figures and evidence. The purpose behind gaining this skill is to
communicating the thoughts on paper in order to aid the reader's understanding. For example, writing
article related to the any experiment which involve facts, figures, proper structure etc. This skill is
important to have in student because it helps them in covering good content while writing any article or
essay. After gaining the skill, I am being more analytical and knowledgeable than ever before (Rakedzon
and Baram-Tsabari, 2017). It helps me in increasing my focus level while doing any task and also while
writing essay and article, This skill teaches me the power of writing good content as because of it I am
able to gain high grade in my annual examination. This also helps in developing my creativity in the essay
competitions and helps me in winning the competitions. To improve this skill, I regular practice my
writing after attending the writing skill classes.

Conclusion
The report concludes the importance of developing different skills in the life of academic students.
The report also concludes how the time-management skill, team-work skill and academic writing skills
help me in achieving high grades in the exams. This report also concludes how the three skills help
students in reducing the attention towards social networking sites and increases their speaking and
listening skill. The report also state that how these skills helps in reducing the stress of the students and
helps them in improving their overall academic and social performance.
