It is not bad to depend on computer based technology if it helps the majority people.
If any student wants to take an online course, social media is the only way to learn online. This
strengthens the participation of the learners. In addition, learners are also developing their studies through
the use of social media. It has not just the bright side, but also the poor side, because the students have
other tough hurdles to face.

The sources that I use to complete my research paper are based on secondary sources. The references I
use in my document are compiled by books written by famous writers and the sources are credible since
they are up-to-date and the sources are often quoted. The authors do not endorse any one factor of their
argument. For both viewpoints, the author assesses his conclusions. The sources are also useful and I also
verify the information with other sources and no false information is available about the subject.

Introduction:
Using social media for higher studies has become very important for the
students. It has enhanced the learning journey and increased the participation of
students in higher students. Social media is used for every sector of studies
because social media is one of the biggest sources for collecting data. The aim
of using social media by higher students is to make a society educated. It helps
and encourages students to study more. It is the most popular technology for
teaching. Moreover, using social is easier and more convenient for collecting
information and gathering knowledge. The main objective of using social media
by the students is to raise awareness and build relationships between teachers
and students. By using social media, the students can interact with the teachers
easily when they need help. Furthermore, the students can use social media for
online classes if they are doing any online courses. The students are becoming
aware of marketing tactics by collecting data through social media. In my
literature review, I am going to describe the using social media by the higher
students and its purpose. But there are some problems too because while a

student is using social media for a long time, it can be harmful to their eyes or
other things.
Description of the literature and data:
Social media is a computer-based technology that performs a significant role in
a student's life. It is a great technology because a student can go through social
media for interacting in his daily life. If any student wants to do an online
course, then social media is the only way for learning from that online course. It
increases the participation of the students. Moreover, the students can give their
opinion or can create their new identity through social media and they also can
get more information. The teachers can Furthermore, the students are also
improving their studies by using social media. It has not only the good side but
also the bad side too because the students have to face many challenges which
are so difficult. By using it for a long time, the students can misuse it and can
waste their time. However, a source is known as a primary source when a
person writes the source on his own for the first time and uploaded it on the
internet, and when the primary source is used for gathering data or information
and after reading the source, anything is written for the 2nd time by own is
known as the secondary source. I often collect the information for literature
from the web site. Firstly, I read the source wholly and try to understand what is
main purpose or objective. After that, I take some notes on important points on
which I am going to talk. Finally, I write on those points narratively by my
word and try to add more about the topic which I feel necessary to add. I chose
the topic first on which I want to give the review. Then, I collect those data
from google or from google scholar, which I feel more authentic for getting
enough information. For getting enough knowledge, the internet is the best
option because I can go through so many sources on the same topic and can
check all that information. Besides, for giving a literature review I have to
gather so much information so that I can write on the topic well. It is very
important for writing to give authentic information because if I write something
wrong, then it can create a bad impression of mine towards other persons who
are reading my review. So, this is the way of my collecting data from the
sources.
The process of selecting the literature and data including a
discussion and the process of ensuring references are reputable
and reliable:

There are approximately 6 steps for writing a literature review by collecting
data from trustworthy sources. Firstly, before going to search for books or
articles or online sources, I have to decide which areas I am going to research
so that I can make sure about the topic in that areas. In this way, I can make my
work easier. Secondly, I have to search books or articles on those areas from a
library or also can search online. I have to set a specific time for framing and
how long I need to research this. Thirdly, I have to find the similarities on
which grounds I want to write. When I can find those similarities on the
document, I have to read them carefully and write them on my own. If I have
any disagreements at any point, I can also write them down. Fourthly, which
similarities I have collected, I need to separate those in some points so that I can
easily categorize them in their right place. If I make a note at any point which I
cannot classify in any theme, then I have to leave it for later and layer on, I need
to read it again to make the right categorization. Fifthly, the themes which I
have made before, have to print it out and have cut into individual slips. Then, I
need to organize the slips of papers and read them thoroughly for writing the
review properly. I have to write it down in a conceptual schedule before I forget
what I wanted to write. I have to make the schedule perfect and need to write it
down in so many points so that it can help me in my literature writing. Finally, I
have to choose one schedule from which I want to begin. Then, I will follow the
sequence which I have written before and I know how to follow it. From the
mini conceptual schedule, I have to begin and I have to follow the theme which
I have made before. I have to write my literature review based on the quote
which I have noted down before. Also, I have to include the citations for
writing.
After completing these six steps, I can complete a draft of the literature review.
So, this is the process that I have followed for giving a literature review.
For writing a literature review which sources I have used those reliable and
authentic because I have checked them all very nicely and these are also
reputable because I have faith in those sources as I have researched upon them
very carefully.
Summary of the literature and data:
Now we discuss about how the social media platform use by the higher

times social media users are gradually rise. In the early time, we see that people
use social media for entertainment purposes but now things are changed. Students
are also use social media for their study purposes. My research paper mainly based
to showcase the purpose of usage social media platform by the students. My
research based on some secondary sources.
Doing my research, I can see that students had a great perception and experience
towards social media. In a survey we can see that student’s perception of social
media as an effective pedagogical tool. It have a great value in academic purposes.
Because we see that now a days students are use those platform in their daily life to
give an example we can see that if there is any group assignment by universities
students use WhatsApp most of time to communicate each other. So, students use
this platform for the purpose of communicating each other. Now the one question
may arise that will it good to use or not to use social media by higher educational
students? In a secondary source I can see that, it is good to use social media by
higher students because it bridges a gap in knowledge in relation to the value and
use of social media as effective teaching and learning tool in higher education in
developing countries. In a survey report done by the Egyptian higher institutions
and in that survey we can see that social media have a great value in educational
related purposes. It mainly use for the teaching and learning tool between both the
teachers and students. According to the report, if the barriers can fix then social
media can be develop as an effective tool for both teaching and learning. In a
survey by the University of Twente, we can see that many students think that face
to face communication hamper their true nature that’s why they prefer to
communicate via social media.

Evaluation of the relevance and reliability of the literature sources:
The sources I used in my research are relevant. So, the sources I used are written
by different authors. To evaluation sources there are some criteria. There are five
criteria to evaluate the sources.
We can evaluate the Reliability of the by two ways. First one is Regency and the
other one is Verifiability. So, to evaluate the sources I used is Reliable, we need to
showcase that the source is published within few years. So the source I used is
published in 2015 and the topic of my Research paper based on the use of social
media by higher students and the purpose of it and these topic data or information
does not change time to time. It takes too much time to change it So, I can use the
source which publish in 2015 also. I can also rely on my source because I verify
the information with the other sources and I check all the reference which is used
in the Review paper.
Reflections on my learning during the research:
During the whole research, I get to learn so many very helpful things. I get to know
about the use of social media by higher students and its advantages as well as
disadvantages. Moreover, I also get to know about the note-taking technique for
any very important writing. Throughout the whole research, I also have developed
my skills which are very beneficial for me. Furthermore, I have learned how to
summarize all documents which I have collected for my writing and also how to
organize them. I can also say that I have learned about the researching methods
like how can I find a genuine source for gathering knowledge. This thing also
influences me for the satisfaction of my learning activities. By doing this, my
thought and creativity also can be increased because the whole literature I have to
write by my thought.
