challenges to the foreign universities. This has resulted in the decline of the number of students
attending such universities of the western world.

The aim of the study is to understand the the impact of international higher education on the sub-
optimal level of academic performance on the international students.

Exploratory method of study based on case study is the chosen methodology of this article. The
participants were the international student studying in a leading public university within Ireland.
Findings:
The article stated that the concept of peer learning has enabled the internationals tudents to
improve their learning
Discussion/conclusions:
It has been concluded that international students of the university prefers the support of
their peer group.
Limitations:
The sample size of the selected population was too limited in nature, pertaining to only the
region of Ireland. Thus, an exhaustive survey could not be done.

18 teachers from 10 special high school were chosen as participants. The method of inferential
statistics was adopted.
Findings:
The findings were not conclusive. PALS was shown to increase the level of literacy among the
students while in some cases it was shown to limit this increase.
Discussion/conclusions:
The research provides an important basis for future research which would help to strengthen
PALS in remedial reading.

It was too narrow in scope as only the teachers were taken in to consideration
