TASK 1 Essay
In the field of education, the main role involved is to motivate the learners to develop the
understanding and curiosity to learn. The training focus on the development of individuals and
person learn about the subject and prepare the learner for their assessments or to other related
things. The main focus of education and training is inspiring the learners to give their best
according to their capabilities and also which helps towards the development of personal and
professional skills. The main aim of education in individual life is to take responsibility towards
their actions.
The main aspects involved in the role of the teacher as carrying out the assessments, maintaining
clear communication with other people with whom you are working, dealing with organizational
behavior. The teacher also helps individuals to act according to their capabilities also tells them
to work on their weaker areas. The teacher is the person who should give reflection to other
people who means giving the example to the person to learn from their mistakes makes it a step
for success (Lee, 2012).
There are ample of responsibilities attached when you become a teacher such as the
responsibility involves the learner should take that course which enhances his or her career and
have opportunities for the same. The particular course benefits them in the future and aspires to
achieve more and earn success. The teacher should ensure learner should have a safe
environment and have proper support from the teachers when required which helps in dealing
with all the hurdles. The teacher should adhere to the key legislations and practice certain codes.
They should ensure the professional behavior should be experienced rather than people are
getting involved at a personal level.
Their responsibility is that the learner should learn the professional behavior in order to gain
experience for future endeavors and also it contributes to their career and success too. The
teacher plans activities which are related to their line of education and according to their needs
and demands which helps them in their future. The learning patterns are resources which are
adopted by the learner and teacher should ensure that these things help them in achieving their
aims and at the same time challenges them to achieve more (Tight, 2012).

The teacher maintains the proper record of the growth of individuals and acts as a step towards
their success. In other words, we can say it acts as an individual learning plan which includes all
the necessary which helps individual to analyze their potential and work towards their betterment
for success. The learner should have a healthy relationships with the teacher through which he
can discuss any problem or difficulty which arises related to finance, health and studies, the
person can get proper counseling for the same (Burke,2013).
As a teacher, there are a set of roles and responsibilities involved which are related to the key
aspects of legislation, regulations, and codes of practice. I am working with F.E. College and
assigned with the responsibility of direct and indirect discrimination which are being practiced in
college on regular basis and I would require having the proper knowledge in the same by
identifying the following things:
The legislative requirement is a duty to act accordingly to the law which is defined by the Act of
Parliament and they are enforced by the court. The legislation which would be followed should
include: Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Data Protection Act 1998, Equality Act 2010 and
Children’s Act 1989 and 2004.
The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 is related to the Health and Safety of the workplace
environment and welfare of employees within the United Kingdom. In the Data Protection Act
1998 acts as a shield to protect the data of the company which even includes the personal
information and other related information within the United Kingdom. There are set procedures
which are related to the individual’s rights which are necessary to bring in the legislation and
should be followed accordingly.
The equality act 2010 is a portion of legislation enforced by the UK parliament in this they have
to increase the support the few areas which are involved in the legislation such as age, disability,
gender, sex, racial discrimination, and sexual orientation. In the college, it has been observed that
the people are discriminating each other directly and indirectly and as a teacher, I am the one
who has all the responsibilities related to these practices which are way frequent on an everyday
basis.

I have implemented the Equality Act 2010 in the college and it should be followed by every
individual present otherwise there should be a certain set of consequences which will be there for
defaulters. As I am the in charge of the responsibilities related, I am organizing the meeting to
make people aware of the information related to this act and if unfollowed what will be the
consequences afterward.
Code of Practice is determined by their field of work and County Council in which there will be
some certain set of rules which determines the set of rules for the person who is representing as
member in the county council. The code of conduct is based upon the implementation of
legislation form the UK parliament which includes a set of guidelines for the person who is
representative of the particular organization. The statutory code of Practice is approved by the
Parliament and admissible as a proof for any legal action.
This legislation and codes of practice are considered on a prior basis before commencing the
work or business also helps in the planning and development of the individual or organization.
The profession of a teacher requires the maintenance of standards which also require the
fulfillment of other responsibilities which is not among the learner but also involves the
institutions, colleagues, etc. In order to pursue that the teacher should set professional and
personal boundaries, this identifies their professional role. The set of boundaries defines the role,
professional duties, and limitations of a professional worker like a teacher.
As a teacher, the intervening in student’s life is considered as crime or indulging in their privacy
leads to the serious destruction between students and teacher and at the same time effects the
environment. In other professional roles, there is no involvement of these things as there is a
personal understanding among the colleagues and they discuss the things according to their trust
factors (Masadeh, 2012).

The behavior patterns play an important role in a teacher’s life as a teacher should be fair and
impartial among the learners and other members. The teacher should consider before opening
with their personal life and they should inquire about the barriers which learners can face during
their process which are disabilities or attendance issues. The teacher has proper responsibility to

ensure that the learner is overcome if any difficulty arises and they find possible ways to resolve
the issue. The professional doesn’t solve the barriers which arise in an individual’s life as for
these things there are designated trainer who solves these problems rather than getting things
done all by yourself.
The teacher knows how and when to set the boundaries between their role. I have encountered
that a group of people was passing comments related to racism and I have reported them and take
further actions according to the equality act. In the life of professional, they don’t have right to
punish anyone for their crime and they cannot raise an issue about that person as people which
are involved are colleagues, superiors and other people of management.

Introduction
This report concludes the needs of the learners which are required in the F.E. College and also it
provides proper help to meet the individual’s requirements. In this report, we will discuss the
role of initial and diagnostic assessment which helps in evaluating the skills, strengths and
development areas of learners. Diagnostic assessments help in determines the learner's
capabilities at a higher level. The teacher identifies the learner’s needs at the time of teaching
which shows their skill and talent for one thing they are passionate about and they help learners
to pursue those talents which require proper guidance and also helps in development.
The points of referral to meet the needs of learners
Every teacher believes that they have proper information about the learners which can be related
to their education, hopes and their future plans which they are developing from their education.
The teachers act as a mentor which put them under situations or give challenges to find the
solutions and at the same time, it contributes towards their development. The teacher should
focus on every individual without any sort of discrimination.
There is few points of referral to meet the needs of learners which are as follows:
 The environment helps provide learners to make the relationship in an effective manner and
utilize every opportunity which comes in the way and also they make ensure every other
person is included in the same. The learner focus on learning when there are equality and
diversity in the environment and the policies should be implemented and followed by
everyone.
 The learner has numerous needs which need to fulfill in a proper manner as it increases
their involvement in the learning process. It also requires different strategies which are
support from the teacher and assistance in other things which are part of the process. The
support require can be in the form of content selection, presentation, support for further
education, time management for other activities which are beneficial for the future and
also adds value in the curriculum vitae.

 Communication is the best way to understand and develop knowledge in the regardingthe
field. The perfect use of vocabulary and terminology creates a positive impact on another
person’s mind and also it develops positive image among other people. The method of
teaching ensures that the learners are getting proper information and are getting involved
in every activity.

Explain why it is important to identify and meet the individual needs of learners
The learners need are important and should be fulfilled in the proper manner as they act as a
route to success as they are people who will make the name of F.E College worldwide. The
teacher should ensure the need for learner would be fulfilled without any discrimination by any
authority and they also provide them guidance whenever required. There are subsequent reasons
why it is important to identify and meet the needs of the learner are as follows:
1. Development of talent: The youth or youngsters are having multiple thoughts at the time
of pursuing their education and at the same time they are developing the understanding
and focusing on their skills. At that moment of time teachers provide them guidance on
what they should pursue and which skill will benefit them specifically. The teachers will
always push the learner to do their best and pursue their skills.
2. Creation of interest: When the learner’s needs are fulfilled which in return boost their
morale and encourages them to work towards that skill? The teachers provide certain
instructions which help learners to understand the concepts and their implementation in
day to day life. The proper support can do wonders in the life of learner as it develops the
interest of learner instead of losing it.
3. Initiating Activities: Activities enhances the performance of learner as there are
challenges or hurdles involved which helps them to learn the things. Through these
activities teachers also get the information and they provide proper counseling, group
discussion which also enhances the performance and also increases the communication
among team members.

The role and use of initial and diagnostic assessment in agreeing with individual learning
and goals.
Every learner goes through various assessments and at first, all learners have to go through the
initial assessment in which they identify the individual’s learning and also supports them to plan
the individual learning plan which will help them in the procedure of learning. The learning
needs are related to the skills, knowledge required which is a necessity for learner during their
studies. The initial assessment is the first step towards the learning cycle and sometimes failures
happen in identifying individual’s learning needs which in return creates failures in learning.
Initial assessment starts at the starting point and continues till the time individual learning plan is
not completed. Learning and support are acts as additional support which is required in the
review process and they should be used in the individual learning process and it consumes a lot
of time. Diagnostic assessment begins when a learner had to complete the initial assessment and
is in a situation to undergo the diagnostic. Their purpose is to find out the skills, strengths,
weakness, and knowledge about the learner. Through this, the person has proper details which
enables the learner to improve their performance by comparing it with their current performance
(Nichols, and Brennan 2012).
Conclusion:
In this report, we have summarized the above-mentioned things which contribute the learner’s
contribution and teacher’s involvement towards their success and development. This report also
concludes the use of initial and diagnostic assessments which have learners way to learn and
develop the knowledge.
