1 PROJECT NEED
The highways in the outskirts need development because it is a mode of transportation that is required for the betterment of communication. This
will facilitate the trade and commerce activities (Jones, Moura & Domingos, 2014). The highway in Newell is an integrate part of National Land
Transport Network. It is the main connecting point between Melbourne and Brisbane. It is a major link for the producers of the regional area in
the western as well as the central part of New South Wales (Infrastructureaustralia.gov.au., 2017).
1.1 PROJECT OBJECTIVES
The main objective of this project is to improve the transportation facility in the outskirts of Australia by developing the road in the highway.
The objectives for this project are:
ï‚· To complete the project within $300 million.
ï‚· To complete the project within 4 years.
ï‚· To improve the efficiency of the route.
ï‚· To overcome the problem of congestion in the local area.
ï‚· To align the road in a proper geometrical pattern.

place (Benn, Dunphy & Griffiths, 2014). The previous methods need to be modified in order to match with the needs and criteria of the highway
development project. Survey must be carried out for other types of highway project that have been carried out previously in order to take idea
from the project.
