INTRODUCTION
It is very important to have an effective communication in the organisation in order to
have coordination among the working employees.(Anderson and et.al., 2015). Present study is
based on the Hilton hotel that is a global brand founded in the year 1919 and having its
headquarter in Virginia, US. Report will include the Purpose and principle behind different
forms of organisational communications. Further report will include application of effective
communication in order to enhance business practices and at the end of the report it will evaluate
communication practices of themselves and others.
Purpose and principle behind different forms of organisational communications
The purpose of different forms of organisational communication is as following:-
Flow of Information:- In order to have flow of information in the organisation from top
to bottom, communication plays an important part for the organisation. If Hilton hotel
have to achieve its business objectives and have to set an environment in its workplace
where no one is misinformed due to language or cultural barrier, effective
communication is required. The respective information that is important, have to be
informed to every staff with a simple language so that they can easily understand the
same(Bonaccio and et.al., 2016). The use of difficult words should be avoided in order to
transmit the right information.
Coordination:- The basic purpose of communication is to set coordination between the
employees so that they can work more effectively in order to reach the organisational
goal of Hilton hotel and to set the business effectively in Sri Lanka as it is new place for
them and will take time to bring coordination(Kelly and MacDonald, 2019).
Preparing People to Accept Change:- By having an effective communication, people
can easily accept the change and also it helps in management of organisation by having
effective change with respect to different organisational policies, procedures and work
style.

that it do not leads to any sort of misunderstanding in the organisation. For every
organisation like Hilton Hotel, Language is the first medium that leads to communication
and this is the reason the way of communication in Hilton hotel must be clear and
understandable.
Adequacy and Consistency:- Another principle related to communication is to have
adequacy and consistency in the communication(Ladegaard and Jenks, 2015). Getting
incomplete messages can create confusion in hotel and it is therefore very important for
