The era of Empire building was marked with various events. However, one of the main factors
that promoted United State to join the struggle for empires was peer pressure. The main
participants or movers in this period include Asia, Japan, Europe, Germany, and France1. Some
of the events that took place during this period include; America declaring war on Spain,
America defeating Spain and claimed influence over Cuba, various countries opposing the
American imperialism. The cowboy era was very essential in US. The cowboys build reputation
and style in US. The interesting aspect I find is that, the history of cowboys and American war
have been incorporated in many movies and films to make people remember the history.
a. Grangers movement plaid a significant role in United States history. It was founded in the
year 1867 primarily to spear for educational and social functions. However, after some time of
the year, the party became political forums. One of the significant roles it played as a political
forum is to provide a mechanism in which the farmers can protest against economic abuse. The
party tied with various socialist and won different legislative seats in the Middle West.
b. In the late 1880s to 1910, United States of America received several visitors. Many of these
immigrants came from England, Germany, and Ireland. In the countries where these people came
from, they experienced several problems which include the shortage of jobs, failure of crops that
they planted, shortage of land and famine. They hoped that the United States of America could
offer them a solution to their problems. For example, the immigrants knew that they would get
economic freedom in the country and feel safe from both religious and political accusation back
in their country. Consequently, the United States of America saw these group of people as
laborers, they could assist in various field as they get little income in return. Many of the

immigrants settled at the port of entry as other groups proceeded to the inland where there was
sparse population.
Part one
The United States’ military group expanded through wars. They staged battle with different
military groups during the civil wars. For instance, they staged war with Spain and defeated
them, and such a situation made them expand rapidly in the early 1800s. 2However, in the current
world, there are several laws in place that protect countries. Even though many countries fear the
American military, the group cannot attack other countries anyhow. Other events include the war
against Great Britain, the second event is the Vietnam war and the third event is the battle of
Bellea wood the military look strong and outstanding as compared to other forces in the world.
These influenced the history by making America to be known and feared with many countries
when it comes to war.
Part two
The are several inventories regarding sports in the 1800s and 1900s, one of the inventors in this
era was Alexander Cartwright from New York. Alexander is the one who came up with the idea
of the baseball field in the year 1845. Another inventor is the Walter Camp from Yale University
who came up with football after the concept of rugby came out. Another invention was in 1853
when the idea of cricket came about. The sportsmen and women can remember the inventors by
making uniforms made of their name or composing songs for them and reciting the song before
beginning to play. Some of the known sports and their stars include boxing by Muhammad Ali,
Michael Jordan basketball and Usain Bolt in athletics. These stars are famous in history because
they motivate the upcoming generation who have a passion for sports.
