Information
Sir John A. MacDonald was the first Prime Minister of Canada (1815 – 1891)
As stated by Gillespie (2017), he was responsible for building the first Pacific
Railways to be built in Canada which allowed people to move from one part of
the country to the other parts.
He was also responsible for Canadian Confederation (Murray & Carl, 2017).
Despite his party being accused of bribes during the Pacific Scandal
associated with the railway lines, he was popular among the people which led
to him being re-elected as the Prime Minister which he remained till his death
( Brennan et all. 2017).
