INTRODUCTION
This research has been conducted on globalization and its impact by analyzing it on the
HRM. This will include evaluation of the impact of globalization on human resource
management. As the environment changes the globalization is running as competition
increases and shifting fiscal and economic towards the increasing to emergent economies.
Globalization has a huge effect on the business function of the organization. The
organization operates across the world and which affects the different function of the
organization (Shenkar et al., 2014).
This research will cover the aims and objectives of the research project. It also covers the
literature review of the research and underpinning the methodology that will use for data
collection for the research project. The Gantt chart and timeline will also be covered in this
research.
Background of the organization
H&M was established in Sweden and it sells cosmetic and clothes in around 38 countries
and it employs more than eight even thousand employees’ across the nation. It works on
the idea that the operation of this organization is to deal their customers a varied variety of
products that are in fashion. The collections of the organization are created centrally with
100 buyers and pattern makers, designers etc. In addition to the 220 stores across the
world, it provides online shopping.

GLOBALIZATION
According to Gaspar et al (2016), Globalization is a procedure of integration and interaction
between the people, government and companies globally. It is a primary process which is
associated with cultural and social aspects, as far as interactions are increasing globally it
starts resulting positively as it results in an increase in technology for communication and
transportation as well as enhance the growth of ideas, trade and culture.
IMPACT OF GLOBALIZATION
According to Picciotto and Mayne, (2016), Globalization has impacted human resource
management as any business wants to increase its operations into other nations it becomes
significant to get impacted by the globalization. When a company wants to increase its
production and functions it has needed to do adjustments in the diverse range like hiring,
training, retaining and supporting the workforce that frequently spread all over the
countries which have a difference in cultural identities. Globalization helps in the growth of
the economy and working of the employees of an organization. Recruitment is the process
of hiring new candidates for the company and globalization increases the possibilities of
cultural and language barriers (Eriksen, 2018).
According to Adekola and Sergi, (2016), Globalisation also results into the increased and
higher competition in the business and the competition can be associated and related with
the cost and price of the product and service, target market and technological adaption. As
when the organisation produces with less cost the business is able to increase its market
share.
Globalisation also impacts operations strategies in both a positive and negative manner.
Global factors that can be utilised as an operational strategy include economies of scale,
global sourcing, research and development (Beck, 2018). Research and development can be
the main benefit to the business as they can offer the customer something and if they
develop the product that has the high desire it can also result in the increase in sales. Along

RESEARCH APPROACH:
Inductive approach: This is related to qualitative research. It starts with the theories and
observations and it is proposed towards the research process end as a result of the
observations. This research is based on the inductive approach as this is concerned with the
development and creation of a new theory that emerges from the data (O'Leary, 2017).
Deductive approach: This approach is aimed at testing the theory and it starts with the
hypothesis and it focuses on the causality and it is commonly related to quantitative
research.
METHODOLOGY:
This research will comprise the use of two types of research methods and which are
qualitative and qualitative research methods. The primary research is used for the
quantitative research which will include the survey method. The questionnaire will be
prepared that will cover the questions meeting the aims and objectives of the research. The
sample size for this will be 40 respondents and the respondents will be selected on a
random basis. The qualitative research will comprise of the literature review and it will
include the different kinds of literature, articles, reports, online publications etc (Flick,
2015).
