Introduction
This assignment mainly focused on the various issues of a selected health and social care
organization. In this assignment, the researcher has taken Lincoln County Hospital, situated in
Lincoln, England. This organization is one of the largest hospitals in the country, and it has
various facilities for the service users. This organization was established in the year of 1776. The
researcher has shed light on the solutions of the various issues. In this assignment, the researcher
has used both the primary and secondary data collection methods.

In this assignment, the researcher has identified various barriers related proper care to the service
users of Lincoln County Hospital. The barriers are such as to prevent the better facilities for the
service users. Lincoln County Hospital has a lack of proper facilities, so it is an important factor
to provide the best facilities to the service users. Lack of proper service facility is another barrier
of Lincoln County Hospital. Lincoln County Hospital has a lack of service facility to provide the
best kind of service to the service users. Therefore, as a result, the service users face various
difficulties, and they are not satisfied at all. Apart from this communication is another barrier of
Lincoln County Hospital. It is very important to make proper communication in health and social

care organizations. Different kind of service users come in the health and social care
organization to get the facilities, so the service providers of the health and social care
organization must have excellent kind of communication skill to solve any arising issue of the
service users. The service users with speech and hearing disability, for them the service providers
have to be advanced so that they can fulfill the need of the service users. Apart from this, the
environment of the organization is not good enough for the service users. The environment is
extremely noisy so that the proper environment of the organization is continuously suffering to
provide the best kind of facilities to the service users. The monitoring process of Lincoln County
Hospital is not good enough for the management. It is very important to make the monitoring
process of Lincoln County Hospital proper so that it can help to solve any arising issues. The
monitoring process of Lincoln County Hospital can be included in the barriers.
AC 1.3 Undertaking a critical review
Factors of barriers in health and social care organization:
In the case of health and social care organizations, there are various barriers factors are such as
proper facilities to the service user, communication gap, environment issues, monitoring
problems, lack of advanced technologies and lack of emergency systems facilities and so on. In
health and social care, organizations providing proper care to the service are always the main
criteria of the organizations (Zingg et al. 2012, p.212). In the case of providing proper care to the
service users, the organizations must be efficient enough to provide the proper facility.
On the other hand, communication is the most important factor for the health and social care
organizations. For making communicate with the type of people who are unable to make verbal
communication and those who are unable to speak, for them it is very important to know about
the effective process of making communication. In the case of the service users who belong to
the different community and customs, the service providers must be well trained to make
communication with all these four types of the service users (Holt et al. 2013 P.289). Apart from
this language, barriers must be another important barrier in health and social care organizations.
To deal with the different kind of the service users who speak a different language, the service
users may face difficulties.
On the contrary, environmental issues can be one of the important barriers of health and social
care organizations. A Proper environment is always the main criteria for the health and social

care organizations (Roski et al. 2014, p.1115). Lack of technologies can make the health care
organizations more effective and efficient. To solve the complicated diseases of the service
users, the usages of the advanced technology is another barrier.
The impact of barriers in health and social care organization:
According to the Berkowitz, (2016, p.897), there are various impacts of the above-stated barriers
on the health and social care organizations. In health and social care organisation, it is the most
important factor to provide the excellent kind of service and in the case of poor service facilities
of the health care organisation, the service users of the organisation may not be satisfied and they
can make a negative comment that can make a negative impact on the organisation. Apart from
this lack of communication can make the organization less effective to provide the service to the
service users. On the other hand, an improper environment of the health and social care
organizations can make the wrong impression on the mind of the service users. On the contrary,
lack of proper monitoring system can be the reason of lack of proper management system of the
health and social care organizations (Gulliford and Morgan, 2013, p.588).
AC 1.4 Producing the research project specifications
Primary data collection method:
In the method of primary data collections, the opinions of the service users people, and the
managers of the health and social care organizations are considered. Primary data collection
methods are the most effective methods to continue the assignment properly. With the help of
primary data collection methods, the researcher can be able to collect the proper data and based
on the direct interviews of the people and the employees of the health care organizations and the
managers of the health care organizations. It can make the assignment more effective and
realistic. It takes the time to make primary data collections (Nannenga, 2014, p.927).
Secondary data collection method:
According to the Palinkas et al. (2015, p.533), secondary data collections methods include
books, research journal and various websites and so on. This method used when the researcher
unable to make the primary data collection method.
In this assignment, the researcher has chosen the primary data collection method. The reason
behind the primary data collection is that it can provide authentic data about the exact condition
of the organization. It is the most appropriate techniques to collect the data.

Sampling methods:
Probability sampling: It is the method of selection of people from a group or individual for a
random process.
Non-probability sampling: In this method, the random selection process does not include, and it
makes a specific selection of people.
In this assignment, the researcher has taken probability sampling to make the assignment more
authentic and appropriate.
AC 1.5 Providing a plan and procedures of the specification of research
To make the assignment more advanced, the researcher has taken primary data collection
method. It takes time to collect the data, so the researcher has made some planning about
collecting the data and to proceed to the next. The researcher has decided to collect that data
within two weeks and then go to the next level of investigation. To collect the relevant data, it
takes three weeks. The researcher has decided to take twenty service users to make the primary
data collection. Then the researcher will take the final procedure based on the interview result.

In this part of the assignment, the researcher has taken four questions; the first question is the
barriers to providing the better service quality to the service users. This question is the most
important part of this assignment, and it can help to the researcher to make the assignment more
effective and realistic. The second question is the various impacts of the barriers in Lincoln
County Hospital. This is one of the relevant questions in this assignment, and it helps to identify
the reasons of barriers. The third question is the ways of analysis of the barriers of the can make
the assignment more relevant. The fourth question is the recommendation of the barriers that can

AC 3.2 Interpreting and analyzing the results
Objectives 1: To understand the barriers related to proper care of Lincoln County Hospital
In this assignment after the data analysis of the service facilities of Lincoln County Hospital,
among the 20 service users, numbers of 6 service users are satisfied, they think that the service
facilities of Lincoln County Hospital are good enough. Five service users are highly satisfied
with the service facilities of Lincoln County Hospital. They think that the service facilities of
Lincoln County Hospital extremely good for the service users. Two service users are made
neutral comments for the service facilities. Three service users are not satisfied with the facilities
of Lincoln County Hospital. They think need to improve the facilities for the service users. Four
service users have confessed their dissatisfaction they think that they think that Lincoln County
Hospital needs to rectify their faults during providing the service to the service users.
Objectives 2: To analysis the barriers of Lincoln County Hospital
Apart from this, 10 respondents said that communication is the most important barriers in
Lincoln County Hospital. Whereas 5 service users think that monitoring is the crucial barriers for
Lincoln County Hospital. Three respondents said that environment is not good enough of
Lincoln County Hospital. 2 respondents said that Lincoln County Hospital needs to update their
technology. After the analysis of the impact of the various barriers.
Objectives 3: To identify the impact of the barriers of Lincoln County Hospital

12 respondents said that misunderstanding could happen for the lack of proper communication in
the organization. Among the total number of respondents, four service users said that due to the
lack of monitoring systems Lincoln County Hospital cannot solve the arising issues easily. Two
the respondents think that due to the distraction of the environment the service providers of the
organizations are unable to provide the proper treatment. Two respondents said that due to lack
of technology the service providers of Lincoln County Hospital unable to identify the disease of
the service users.
Objectives 4: To provide the recommendations for Lincoln County Hospital
There are various recommendations are made for Lincoln County Hospital. Ten respondents said
that need to make the communication effective. Whereas two service users think that need to
improve the monitoring system. Three service users think that need to make the environment
more peaceful. However, five service users think that need to improve the technology of Lincoln
County Hospital.
Apart from this to remove the barriers of Lincoln County Hospital, 12 respondents said that they
have the facilities to remove the barriers of the organization. Eight the respondents said that
Lincoln County Hospital has no proper facilities to remove their barriers.
AC 3.3 Recommendations
Lincoln County Hospital needs various recommendations. They are such as the need to make the
communication more effective. To improve the communication need to provide the effective
training to the service providers so that they can develop their communication. To deal with both
the verbal and nonverbal communicator the service providers need to be kind, patience, and they
have to show more courtesy to the service users. In the case of impersonal personality, the
service providers need to be more calm and quiet. Apart from this the environment of Lincoln
County Hospital need to be peaceful and quiet. Lincoln County Hospital needs to improve the
monitoring systems so that they can monitor the entire activity of the organization to make a
proper solution of any such arising issues. To improve the service quality of the organization
need to use the technology. They need to use advanced technology to provide the best kind of
service to the service users. In the case of emergency purpose, the organization must have some
other facilities for making communication with the emergency department and the doctors as
