External Factors
Political Factors-
There are many political elements that can impact on overall working of business, as if
government of nation is not stable then it may defiantly impact on trade of the firm because
changing norm creates problem in carrying out operations smoothly. Whereas if government
supports free trade moments and make such laws that can help in expanding business such as
free trade agreement then it will help GM in entering into new market and generating more
revenues successfully (Gleim, Smith & Cronin Jr, 2019).
Economic Factors-
If country is facing inflation then it may affect the investment of GM which will
reduce the return on investment as firm will not like to invest capital in inflation situation
hence profitability of the firm can be reduced (Zinovieva & et.al., 2016). If there is high
employment rate then people will be ready to spend money which will develop demand and
sales of the firm will be raised (Dowell & Muthulingam, 2017).
Social Factors-
Culture impacts on choice of buyers if company is unable to provide them products as
per their preferences then sales of GM will be decreased and enterprise will not be able to
maintain its brand image as well (Toppinen & et.al., 2019). But if company is taking care of
needs of consumers and offering them same products then it will enhance sales which will
help GM in raising its brand image scuessfully (Abdullah & Ward, 2016).
Environment
Document Page
This element affects the sales and image of company, GM needs to take care of
atmosphere and its practices must be done in such manner so that natural resources can be
used properly and wastage can be minimised. This will generate more demand of its products
and enterprise will be able to gain competitive advantage successfully (Cipriano, 2018).
Providing environmental friendly cars will help in fulfilling corporate responsibility of
business that will create positive image in the mind of consuemrs (Sisakhtnezhad, Alimoradi
& Akrami, 2017).
