and managing the workforce of the organisation. The HR department of any organisation is
concerned with the responsibility of developing, executing and managing strategies and plans
associated with the workforce of the organisation. This study will analyze the workplace in
order to discover the challenges that the employees and organisation faces while inducting its
new hires into the culture with reference to Holiday Inn, Manchester.
1.1 Background to the Study
The overall research will be based on recognising the issues and challenges that Holiday Inn,
Manchester faces while recruiting and selecting new candidates into the culture of the
organisation. Holiday Inn is famously renowed as the leading British acquired American
brand of resorts and hotels whose headquarter is located in Buckinghamshire. The
Manchester branch of the hotel is located in the center of the city with an overall 298
bedrooms and other exceptional facilities and services (himanchestercity.com, 2019). At a
global level, the hospitality industry has contributed a larger amount of percentage towards
the aspect of economic growth and development. The HRM department of the organisation
faces challenges and issues during the process of making effective decisions and solutions
