INTRODUCTION
Personal resources and their development is crucial part of an organisation as they play a
major role in conducting business operations (McCredie, 2017). It is very important for a
company to hire right set of talent in organisation so that they can perform business task in
effective and efficient manner. By developing personal resource company will be able to achieve
set goals and objectives as well as perform business task in correct ways. Company chosen for
this organisation is Holiday Inn. This is one of the leading company is hospital sector and this
organisation was established in 1952. Holiday Inn company was founded in Kemmons Wilson
and it is offering different types of product and services world wide. This report includes current
issues which is faced by company regarding employee engagement and the talented workforce.
Good or bad practices conducted by respective company and other organisation on the based of
secondary research it has been analysed. Different ways has been suggest to company in order to
develop skills and attitude of workforce for lifelong employment. Advantage of primary research
method has been identify.

Holiday Inn company is considered as one of the leading company which is dealing in
hospitality sector. This is British owned company which is providing its product and services to
different part of the world. This is one of the largest hotel chain company which is offering high
quality products and services to potential customers. Holiday Inn company was established in
1952 and founder of this organisation was Kemmonus Wilson. This organisation is offering its
different kind of products and services to large number of customers and its headquarter is
located in Denham, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom. This is multinational company so it is
very important that this company has highly professional skilled employees who are able to
perform business task in effective and efficient manner (Chang-Richards and et.al., 2016).
Current issue of organisation that is around of employee engagement and the talented work
force.
There is some major issues faced by Holiday Inn company which is affecting is overall
business performance as well as profitable. It is very important for this company have engage its

employees with organisation as well as try to develop strong and talented work forces in
organisation. Employee engagement is related to satisfaction of employees while working in an
organisation. it is can be describe as a extent to which an employees feels happy or satisfied by
their job and job roles. It is essential that each and every employees is engaged with company as
this will help in improving productivity of organisation (Kopytova, 2016). Development of
talented workforce will help in achieve set goals within less time period. Holiday Inn company is
not able to engage its workforce with management and organisation. this is affecting overall
performance of respective company as it is not able to perform business operation in effective
manner. Staff member of Holiday Inn is not fully trained to handle its guest and clients in better
manner. The major current issues that is a faced by respective organisation is increase in turnover
rates. Its employees are not satisfied and they are leaving jobs. This have huge negative impact
over productivity of business. Increase in turnover rates leads to have major impact on business
sales and profitability. This is affecting the business culture and environment as employees are
not satisfied with their job and Holiday Inn company. Employee turnover rate is effecting the
business as well as its brand images. Employees are not using their full potential to compete the
given task and they are not passionate towards their job role. This is affecting the financial
resources of company as lead to decrease in business profits. Loss of experienced employee will
affect the whole business process and is very difficult for respective company to manage and
handle the situation correctly. Profits and productivity is majorly affected due to increase in
employee turnover ratio. It is essential for Holiday Inn company to identify the reason of
increase in employee turnover ratio as well as develop strong and effective business strategies. It
would be significant for this company if employees work collectively and management develop
employee engagement correctly.

Employee turnover is considered as a situation when more number of employees are
leaving the job as compare to new hiring. This will have huge negative impact over business and
it will directly affect company’s productivity (KABASHE, VAKHAIRULLINA and

could be used by company and it will help in enhancing the human resource of respective
company. Suggested tools and techniques for betterment of Holiday Inn company is mention
below that will lead to develop organisation workforce with positive attitude and required skill
set.
Training and development – This will be an effective ways of improving skills and
potential of employees. It is essential of Holiday Inn company to train its employees so that they
are able to perform better and in effective manner. By increasing skills and other capability of
employee, organisation will be able to encourage them to work in correct manner. This will lead

Primary research is one the way to gather data as well as analyse it into get useful information.
This type of research method is very helpful in collect accurate and correct data in order to take
better business decisions. In primary research method research will collect first hand data and
this data or information has been been used by any one. This is helpful in gathering fresh
information and researcher is known and owner of the research. Primary research method is
useful in gather information that is more accurate as well as appropriate (Antonio, 2017). There
are various methods that could be used by researcher to collect primary data in order to take
better business decisions. Methods of primary research includes interview, observation, survey
and many more. All of these methods has different advantage as well as drawback which will
affect the collected data and information. Different method that could be more could be not used
by Holiday Inn company is mention below.
Interview – This includes face to face as well as telephonic interview and this type of method is
