Fran 21 year girl is suffering from grand mal epilepsy, due to which she is not able to
perform her daily activities and live a normal life. Holistic approach will be highly benefited for
care of Fran as this will focus on her psychological and social state and helped to get back to her
feet (Devinsky et al., 2015). She will be aided in tackling her anxiety and psychosis that can
worsen her situation. She was given counselling and advised to include yoga and exercise in her
life and this help her to interact with other people. The psychological treatment will impact on
her emotional behavior as well. She will be given education regarding prevention measure to
abort seizure like avoiding visual pattern, listening to irritating noise and taking stress (Galtrey,
Mula & Cock, 2016). Fran was given coping skills to recognize and control her seizure. She was
also motivated to interact with her friends and family so that she can feel a comfort zone around
her. This will also help to avoid the attack of seizure and can live normal life. Additionally,
pharmacologically aid is also administered to her so that can get control from seizure. Proper
medication along with psychotherapy, exercise, yoga, social interaction will help her to get faster
recovery from her illness (Farina, Raglio & Giovagnoli, 2015). Creating self-awareness will
accelerate the healing process as she will be able to manage her illness by herself, and get back
into her feet in no time (Legg & Newton, 2017). With such implementation of holistic
approaches she can live a normal and healthy life like other peoples.
