Critical Review of Homeplace- Bell Hooks
It was analyzed that Homeplace bell hooks are the journey of the grandmother's house in which
the black women have struggled a lot and does sacrifices. For the black women, the construction
has done whose main objective is to black men is subjective to life instead of the objective of the
racism. In this article, the different social factors have discussed and their influences on the
universal have also stated (Tigerlily, 2009). The article has critically evaluated the difference
between the ideology and the knowledge which are adherence in society. Several struggles were
made by the women and their efforts have been forgotten. It is the construction of the home place
where one could freely construct and resist the issue of humanization. Black women have
resisted making the homes as people are striving to the subjects and not the objects and where
dignity can be denied by restoring ourselves in the home.
Critical Review of PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE
The two major issues which have been raised in this article are that it was found that Diangelo
has grown up white and poor so being the white student she was center of the racism and she
also works in racial dominance. The perspective thinking of everyone is different so growing in
the segregated environment experience is the only thing that matters. The racism is received in
society when the while people are dominated by society (DiAngelo, 2006). The individual has pit
into several restrictions that are the social act of oppression and power. It was reviewed that
Diangelo has learned the racism, especially in the class oppression people of white and poor
moving out from poverty stay away from schools and neighborhoods.
