1. Parents who homeschool can choose the curriculum they use with their children. Should
parents who homeschool be required to use current state standards as the foundation for
homeschool instruction? Why or why not?
Parents who homeschool should not use the current state standards instead they should be
allowed to have an Independent Private Instructions. In most cases, parents have a reason to
choose homeschooling over public and private schools. Their main reason for homeschooling is
to give their children better education at home because they think that the traditional form of
schooling does not challenge their children to become better individuals’ in future thus viewing
homeschooling as the best choice for them (Edgunity, n.d.). If this is the case, it is prudent to
give the parents the freedom to choose their own instructions and procedures to follow.
2. What is your opinion of Mississippi's homeschooling requirements?
Homeschooling in Mississippi has incredibly very little regulations that are not driven
towards canned curriculum but for the purpose of record keeping which is a very thoughtful
move that will help the county superintendents to monitor the enrollment of school going
children (Edgunity, n.d.). The requirement information are not far-fetched and can be easily
obtained.
3. Should parents who home-school receive state aid? Why or why not?
Parents who home school their children should not receive aid because this form of
schooling is believed to be for the rich slots in the society who can afford it and does not need
support from the government to educate their children (Ice & Hoover-Dempsey, 2011). Besides,

this form of schooling is not well regulated in terms of the curriculum received and resources
required.
4. What are some advantages of homeschooling?
Homeschooling builds a foundations for one’s inner passion that piles the urgency and
autonomy that helps them chart their own path in life by having a reliable internal control instead
of the designed model system that prevents this from happening (Martin, 2012).
5. What are some disadvantages of homeschooling?
Homeschool students are deprived from socializing with friends making them to end up
as introverts which makes them to become dull individuals in life (Silva, 2018). Besides, they
say that besides the real world, there is one of the best school of all, and that is right outside your
door. If meeting their goals in life is in the real world, then put them in the outside world.
