AI Summary
This report provides an overview of the endocrine system, focusing on its structure, functions, and the roles of key hormones. The report begins by defining the endocrine system and outlining its role in regulating various bodily functions such as metabolism and growth. It then describes the structure of the endocrine system, highlighting the various glands involved, including the pituitary, adrenal, and thyroid. The report delves into the specific roles of insulin and glucagon in maintaining blood glucose levels. Finally, the report examines the effects of hormonal imbalances, discussing how they can disrupt processes like metabolism, development, and mood. It emphasizes the importance of understanding the endocrine system for maintaining overall health and well-being. References are provided to support the information presented.

Introduction
Endocrine system can be defined as the aggregation of different types
of glands that includes adrenal, testicles, thyroid, ovaries and others. It
secretes and produces hormones that may regulate metabolism, sleep,
mood and other functions of body. This presentations aims at structure
and function of endocrine system of human body. Along with this role
of insulin, glucagon and effects of imbalance in hormones are
discussed in this presentation.

Functions of endocrine System
Endocrine system is made from different types of glands such as
pancreas, adrenal, testicles, thyroid, ovaries, pituitary etc. which secrete
and produces hormones. Growth of the human body and metabolism is
regulated by such type of hormones. All of them are discharged in
blood and could leave impact on one or many organs in the body. The
main function of this system is to select and remove material from
bloodstream. It also makes sure that body is working in appropriate
way in which it should work (Functions of endocrine system, 2019).

Structure of endocrine system
This system is made up of various glands that includes pituitary,
adrenal, pineal, parathyroid, thyroid and ovary. In the body of males
ovary is replaced by testicles. All the hormones that are known as
messenger molecules are secretes by this system. If these are released
then it affects organ, cell and functioning of the human body.
Emotional behavior, development, growth etc. are influenced by
endocrine system.

Role of insulin and glucagon
Insulin and glucagon are the two main hormones that helps body to
maintain the narrow range of blood glucose. Both of them are
concealed from the pancreas and thus are referred to as pancreatic
endocrine hormones. It also helps to determine if a human being is
affected by diabetes, hypoglycaemia and other sugar related disease.
Insulin is concealed by beta cells of the endocrine gland. It helps to
regulate the glucose level in the blood by controlling it with the help
of pancreas.

Effect of imbalance of hormones
Hormonal imbalance takes place due to high or low level of hormone
in blood. Whether it is small or big it can cause various side effects in
body. Different process that may get affected due to this imbalance are
metabolism, development, growth, mood, sexual function and
reproduction etc. it also affects the heart rate, sleep cycle, body
temperature and increases stress level of human beings.

Conclusion
From this presentation it can be concluded that endocrine system
helps to regulate different functions of body such as growth,
metabolism etc. By in-taking excess amount of sugar and
carbohydrates the human body may face a hormonal imbalance
which may affect the body by creating issues such as depression,
fatigue, insomnia etc.
