Coastal Medical Center (CMC) is a hospital with licensed facilities that includes the
strength of 450 beds. It is a regional referred hospital that provides a range of services for the
welfare of the patients. The primary service of the hospital is situated in a coastal city and three
counties that has a total population of more than 995,000, which is located in the Sun Belt.
However, the healthcare cost of these regions are higher than most of the other organizations.
The market of the CMC is directed towards the patients in the rural area because it is
situated in those places as it can be seen that it is necessary to look after the wellbeing of the
patients and the morale of the employee. The patient volumes can be increased by elevating the
standards of care and utilizing the total potential of the employees so that their morale is also
considered. They have been entering new business ventures that can increase their staff
employment by constructing a hospital owned medical office building in a community that is 5
miles away from the hospital. This has helped the orthopedic surgeons to expand their ideas and
techniques in the field of surgery. They are also thinking about expanding their financial
feasibility, which is possible when they build their own physical therapy clinic and that will be
accessible by all types of patients. When the organization will increase their football, it will also
help them in increasing the morale of the patients that is necessary for the growth of medical
sector (Harrison, 2016).
