Research aim: To determine the challenges faced by hospitality industry due to the implication
of COVID-19 pandemic in their business functionalities. A study on Windermere boutique hotel.
Reason for choosing research topic
In the current time COVID-19 is regarded as one of the major implication which is seen
on almost all the business as COVID has destroyed various businesses and specifically
hospitality industry (Baum and Hai, 2020). Hospitality industry is directly connected with
individuals and due to various restriction gathering of people were stopped and this manner the
industry has faced their negative time. On the other hand, the researcher has personal interest in
selecting the current topic as researcher is willing to pursue their career in hospitality industry.
Research objectives
 To analyse the impact faced by hospitality industry due to COVID-19 global pandemic
outbreak.
 To examine the issues faced by Windermere boutique hotel in managing their
organisational functionalities at the time of COVID-19.
 To discern the response given by Windermere boutique hotel to deal with the issues of
global pandemic COVID-19.

Process of project management
The project management plan is associated with inclusion of various aspects in relation to
manage the research in appropriate manner. Some inclusions are elaborated as under:

Time: Time is regarded as one of the major aspect within project management. For any study the
major purpose is to carry out project in identified manner. The timeline is regarded as the
expected data on which project will be completed. In the current research
Cost: The cost is considered as such expenses which are needed in order to carry out the
research. The appropriate allocation of funds are needed within the project so that project can be
executed in smooth manner. For current research, £800 is taken so that to carry out research in
appropriate manner.
Scope: The project scope is related with managing functions and features of the research. The
scope is the area of the research for which research is conducted (Davahli and et. al., 2020). With
the help of proper goals and time research can be executed and at the same time plans and
procedures can be exerted. Using such activities fair picture can also be demonstrated, using
skilled staff the research can be executed appropriately.
Resources: The resources are regarded as such support system which is used within research in
order to manage the same in appropriate manner (Knight and et. al., 2020). The resource plan is
needed to be communicated with each and every associated party so that project aim can be
attained. There are various resources used within the research such as men, machine and other
resources. With the help of appropriate research resources all the aspects can be executed within
research in significant manner.
