INTRODUCTION
Planning and development are very necessary tasks for the management of any
tourist destination, because by planning and development the management of a specific
tourist destination can make that destination more effective and more attractive.
Currently tourism management authorities within many countries are trying to make
their respective destination more attractive and effective, because most people always
like to visit only those places which really attractive in nature. There are various tourist
attractions are existing within the United Kingdom, like; Tower of London, Stonehenge,
The British Museum and Lake District National Park etc. Per year, a lot of tourists visits
in these places. The report discusses planning and development of Lake District
National Park. It is one of the prime tourist attractions within the United Kingdom. In this
report, productive policy approaches, ways, planning etc. aspects of planning and
developing also has been discussed.
Policy approaches for managing development and regeneration
The management of Lake District National Park is highly required to develop
some productive policies for properly managing development and regeneration of this

discussed below which the management of Lake District National Park need to
implement in its daily operations for properly managing development and regeneration
of existing destination.
Planning tourism for the long term
This is the first policy approach where top-level management of Lake District
National Park need to prepare a specific plan for always maintaining attractiveness
within this destination. Long term planning refers that activity where management of a
