Leadership is the research area and practical skill which help in analysing the ability of
an individual and organisation which lead towards providing correct direction to their
employees. The management can smoothly run various business operations and its functions in
order to gain high income and profitability effectively. The report is based on two types of
hospitality industry in which Hilton hotel is the international hotel that are serve various services
to their guests. Another is The Five Field which is small restaurant in order to serve services and
facilities. Along with this, the main purpose of this assignment is to assess two different classical
management theories and analyse the role of leader.
TASK 1
P1 Assess two different classical management theories and apply these in service industry
There are various views of management and classical views of management or classical
management theory. In this, there are two different classical management theories which
includes scientific and bureaucratic management theory that are described as under:
Scientific management theory – It is well known for its application of engineering
science at the manufacturing level. Hilton hotel can adopt this theory because this will help in
improving the efficiency of their staff members while doing work. On the other hand, The Five
Field can use this theory for providing best effective services to their

and regulating the organisation under a hierarchy structure or position. In Hilton hotel, this
theory is applied for managing and maintaining all business structure where they are recruit
