high demand and a high supply. Hotels provide accommodation, food and other services to people who pay
visits (Wachowiak, 2016). Although the hotel industry has previously made some milestone achievements,
there are more implementations that ought to be made to ensure that the industry thrives on the verge of the

modern trade turbulences. The modern hotel industry faces many challenges which could be partially
attributed to the inability to adjust to well fit in the contemporary circumstances. The employees and
customers are the most affected in the industry. The problems encountered by the employees are usually
directed to the customers.

Hospitality management, now a day is gaining much more popular among masses. Where there is an
increase in craze among the masses about the hospitality management, on the other hand, it is facing many
issues especially due to certain ever-changing demand of foods among the masses, the cost of operations,
change in food attitudes among the masses, maintaining the valued customers and so on. It also faces certain
issues regarding the improper marketing and its ineffectiveness, competitions with other hotels, the
dissatisfactions among the employers about the issues and so on (Line & Runyan, 2012).
In the ever-changing demand and the food habit of the customers, the hotels often face certain challenges
regarding the food waste. Lack of proper recipes and techniques of the cook, it became difficult for the hotel
to provide appropriate products to its customers which often tend to create certain issues of wastage of foods.
The salary gap between the employees in the hotel industry and the employees in other industries is
rather questionable. Ideally, the relationship between the employer and the employee determines how well
the workers will treat the customers. Low salaries result in overall dissatisfaction among the workers and
hence poor services to the clients. A happy employee results to a happy and satisfied customer. The salaries
paid to the employees in the hotel industries are way too low to cater to their needs. This results in
organizational inefficiency which is likely to keep off potential customers (Aragon-Correa, Martin-Tapia &
de la Torre-Ruiz, 2015). The management and human resource department in the hotel industry ought to be
keener to remain relevant in the highly competitive markets.
Hotels lack a reliable, systematic management system. Many hotels are too reluctant in aspects such as
understanding the needs of not only the employees but also the environments within which they exist. All
companies have a corporate social responsibility which dictates that they owe a lot to their environments.
The failure to cater for the social and environmental needs has been a key contributor to the fall of many
hotel industries. If the management acts right, all the employee, environmental and social needs will be
addressed (Deery & Jago, 2015). Poor managerial skills frustrate not only the employees but also the other

key business role players. Under such circumstances, the development of the industry gets even more
limited.
Lack of promotional activities in any company hinders the motivation among the employees hampering
overall development. If the employees lack motivation, they are likely to do less to build their company.
Well-performing companies offer incentives to their workers. This practice draws the employees closer to
the company making them feel like part of the company. When undertaking their duties, such employees
practice more perfection. Employees who are rarely motivated remain vulnerable to managerial threats
resulting in failure in their duties. Threats to fire employees and failure to acknowledge and retain loyal and
trusted ones keep their morale low (Ryan, 2015).
Other than the said problems and issues, some other sorts of issues are also been faced by the company
that with the use of the changing labor conditions, the hospitality industries of the hotels often face certain
challenges which often include certain union issues and that of the healthcare issues. It also seems that with
the use of the changing democratic structure along with the increase in the aging population often tend to
decline in the labor force which often seems to face certain problems regarding the manual workers in the
given hotel management. These often tend to create a labor shortage in the prescribed industries (Lee, 2017).
Nowadays, the company also face certain problems during the use of the given issues regarding the
branding images. Shortage of trained personnel in the hotel industry often faces certain problems. The hotel
industries often seem to be using certain personal training in the given area. Such problems often lead the
prescribed hotel industries to face a devastating decline in the profit margin of the company. There is a high
chance of losing the best approaches of its valued and precious customers and often face a threat from its
enemy or rival company and also about its future survival of the company (Deery, 2008).
In order to avoid such problems and issues, the company often tend to create certain strategies which
often seem to create a positive situation about the company and is often seems to gain certain limitations that
are often said to be the most essential for keeping its company in a verge. The implication of certain
technologies in the production system and also for taking orders and keeping records could be some
important measures that can be proved to be the most essential for the use of the gained system of the given
situation. In order to create certain motivation among the members, the hotel industries must provide certain
training and grooming session to its employees in order to avoid certain issues regarding the motivation and
the technical and trained personnel (Chathoth & Sharma, 2007).

Conclusion
Employees in the service industry are undeniably the most vulnerable despite the fact that they are a
recipe for an ideal service production company. Hotels should strive to offer the best to their employees if
they desire a similar treatment for their customers. The ability to retain workers in the hotel tells much about
the managerial team. Customers tend to be excited with popular service providers. Failure to retain
employees thus translates to consequent incapability to retain clients.
