INTRODUCTION
Learning procedures are essentially used by teachers for make their teaching effective for
students (Stephenson, 2018) Process of teaching and learning are considered as relevant as it aid
in make interactions which assist learners in learning as well as new grasping new data sets in a
strategic manner. It is beneficial for teachers to use tools in regards with information and
communication technology which help students to learn their subjects quickly in an effective
manner. This project report encompasses of knowledge and application of pedagogical principles
in specialist area of hospitality management. It also evaluate behaviour management in regards
with the learning and teaching environment. This report also critically analyse the effectiveness
in relation with creative and innovative approaches in hospitality management.
MAIN BODY
Analysing the application of pedagogical principles in the specialist area of hospitality
management
Pedology can be understood as a practice which is undertaken by teachers for making the
learning processes more interactive which help students to learn faster (Yuan, 2019). It is
considered as significant as it provide teachers an insight through which they can engage into
best practices in relevance with classroom setting. It allows teachers to understand the
differential mind sets of their students in order to prepare the lessons in an effective manner.
Differential pedagogical principles in regards with examples of hospitality management are
mentioned below:
Inclusion- As per this pedagogical principle, it is imperative for teachers to adopt those
practices whereby all the students should be included. This practice led to development of
learning capabilities of every student. This principle states that all the students needed to be
consider as equal and should get the rights for higher education on a global scale (Johnston and
Et. Al., 2018). It implies that teachers should build student-focused environment which help
them in learning irrespective of their backgrounds and desires. For instance, when attending
module of hospitality management, my teachers also follow this principle and we were also
given instructions to cater the needs of our guests irrespective of their backgrounds and cultural
practices.

Motivation- This principle is concerned with student motivation which is principally
depends on personality of teachers and their capabilities to develop a strong relationship. This
can be done effectively through recognising the diverse needs, experience and interests of
differential students which help teachers to develop content according to them. Teachers should
address essential motivational forces of their students which help them in operating interactive
sessions for appealing them to study hard. For example, in relevance with hospitality
management our teachers motivate me through offering my favourite tasks for keeping me
engaged into study.
Quality assurance- As per this principle, it is imperative for teachers to ensure that
quality education is provided to them in an effective manner. Through providing quality
education, students can learn fast and in an efficient manner. Apart from making this learning
sessions appealing and interactive, it is desirable to teachers to provide quality education to their
students. For example, quality education is provided to us while attending hospitality
management module as it is measured through using varied parameters on a constant basis such
as by taking tests and organising competition.
Consistency and Transparency- This pedagogical principle is concerned with providing
methodical as well as consistent education for accomplishing study objectives (Preston, Allen
and Allen, 2017). Growing trend of online education should be transmitted in a consistent and
transparent manner which helps them to enhance their learning. It implies that intention of the
teachers taking online sessions are ought to be clearly stated so that students can prepare their
tasks in such a manner. For enhancing the knowledge of students, holistic approach should be
undertaken by teachers which also help in making their sessions interactive. For example, I have
access of online lectures too while attending offline module. Through this practice, I has learn
and interact with my teachers at the time of inconvenience of attending lectures.
Evaluating the theories in regards with behaviour management of the processes related with
teaching and learning
Behaviour management theories are considered as important as to helps in guiding
teaching experience in relation to classrooms. Behavioural management theories are concerned
with adopting practices which provides rewards and punishments to students as per differential
circumstances (Dahlgaard-Park, Reyes and Chen, 2018). Theories of behavioural management
in respect to evaluation of learning environment are as follows:
2

Behavioural learning theory- This behavioural theory is concerned with learning
abilities of students. It suggests that behaviour of an individual is developed through their
surroundings or environmental practices (Kaplan, Samuels and Sawers, 2017). It also states that
inherited force have very little impact on a person's learning capabilities. For example, behaviour
of students in respect to learning the new concepts of hospitality management are learnt from
lectures and weekly modules. It consists of majorly two components which are as follows:
Classical conditioning can be described as learning theory which is concerned with
association of neutral stimulus as well as environmental one for producing a desired behaviour of
individuals (Köhler, 2019). In relevance with classroom teaching it is concerned with associative
learning whereby two stimuli or events work together for changing the behaviour of students.
For example, while learning hospitality management, my learning behaviour gets impacted
through power point slides and attending lectures in an effective manner.
Operant conditioning is described as a procedure by which humans as well as animals
transform their behaviour in such a manner whereby they can mitigate punishments and earn
more rewards for the (Rivera‐Santos, Rufin and Wassmer, 2017). For example, while attending
hospitality management module, my teacher also use this learning behaviour by rebuking late
comers in front of the class which led us to transform our attitude.
Observational learning is a practice whereby individuals learn from observing the
behaviours of others such as their family members, friends, peers and many more. This states
that it is not necessary for teachers to reinforce their learning style towards students. They can
learn from social model which they can expect from their teachers, family and friends through
observing.
Critical evaluation of effectiveness of creative and innovative practices in hospitality
management
Effective teaching can be described as a procedure whereby students gets relieved from
continuous boredom. It is imperative for students to develop insights regarding effectiveness of
creative as well as innovative practices in their specialised area of hospitality management.
Innovative practices which are undertaken by hotel managers are as follows:
Through the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence, hotel managers have
transformed their hotel into automated one. With the help of use of artificial intelligence, they
can make interactions with their customers as well as can receive their feedbacks in an effective

manner. For example, managers of Hilton are performing their operations through indulging
robots for serving their guests in a strategic manner. Robotic staff, virtual and augmented reality,
personalised experience are considered as major trends that are adopted widely in relevance with
hospitality industry.
With the aid of virtual as well as augmented reality, tourism practices are enriched by
providing them personalised experience. Hotels are also innovating new technologies in
relevance with self-service and room service operations. Visitors can book, check-in and perform
other related activities through their smartphones easily. For example, managers of Marriott
International provide virtual reality by sitting into their rooms in an effective manner. Hotel
managers are offering tech savvy rooms whereby smartphones can be used as keys, voice
command devices and remote controls.
These innovative services are considered as effective as it provides their guests an
exceptional experience which lead them to revisit the place again. Through adopting these
innovative practices, hotel managers are gaining huge profitability as well as proficiency in a
significant manner. These practices are considered as vital for driving growth avenues, attracting
potential visitors, neutralising digital disruption and many more in an effective manner. This
practices are effective as these provides valuable insights to managers for personalised marketing
offers. Use of technological-driven automated tools also led to enhance workflow management
which help in developing effective communications channels in an effective manner. Through
automated ways, visitors can get access of location as well as they can compare the prices of
differential hotels which help in planning their visit in a strategic manner.
CONCLUSION
From the above mentioned information, it has been assessed that teaching and learning
are considered as important aspects which works in hand-in-hand. Pedagogical principles are
concerned with making better relationship with pupil in order to provide teachers an enhanced
environment. Pedagogical principles are majorly encompasses of motivation, inclusion,
consistency, quality and transparency. Behavioural management theories are concerned with
addressing human dimensions as well as relationships in an effective manner. It is imperative for
hotel managers to bring innovations on a constant manner for enhancing their profitability. Hotel
managers adopt differential innovative practices in order to attract visitors towards their brand.
