3.1.Analyse operational, managerial and legislative
issues resulting from recent
developments which are the hospitality industry
There are certain operational issues which is faced by hospitality
industry in UK which are:
• Globalisation
• Food Miles
• Staff Turnover
• Skills Shortage

Hospitality business is affected by legal changes and laws of
country. Some legal problems are:
• Brexit : It has created a major impact on hotels and other
hospitality-related business. The result of Brexit has created
large number of unemployment as 60000 employees of
European Union state has turned down there jobs.
• Allergens: This law was formed in year 2014 for all the hotel,
restaurants and other business which operates in hospitality
sector. It has affected revenue of many hotels because of
inaccurate information provided by employees to customer
with regards to food allergens which results in hefty fines and
serious consequences.

3.2. Discuss the current image of the hospitality
industry
• The impact of Brexit on United Kingdom has shaken the
economy with downfall in GDP of 1.5%.
• Brexit has made a major impact on employment sector of this
business as large number of skilled labourers who serves the
hospitality business of UK belongs to other European Union
states which results in large number of migration from the
hospitality industry
• But the growth in global trends for travel and tourism can
create opportunities for UK hotels and restaurant as huge
number of supplies spike in London and other parts of United
Kingdom has opened opportunities for opening of more
number of rooms than past year

4.1.Present justified predictions for potential trends
and developments in hospitality.
The predictions in relation to potential trends and development of
hospitality sector is as follows:
• Consumers: They are the essential part of hospitality sector.
This sector is directly link to the consumer.
• Food and Beverage Management
• Employee Contribution: Hospitality industry is 4th largest
sector in UK in terms of employment.
• Emphasis on Green and Healthy Living: There will be shift
of hospitality sector to introduce a concept of green and
healthier living due to growing concern of customers towards
environment, wellness and healthy lifestyle.

4.2. Produce an impact analysis for the predicted
trends and developments
• The impact of potential trend on development would be as
follows:
• Improvement in hospitality business would attract more
consumers from around the world this will generate higher
revenue to economy.
• The shift in hotel business to eco- friendly practices would
help to reduce environment problems of the country and will
promote sustainable development within hospitality business.
• Use of technologies in operation of hotel business would
reduce down the wastage of resource and time because all the
task can be performed through technologies
