INTRODUCTION
Hotel industry play very great role in the economic growth of the United Kingdom.
Currently the hotel industry is the third biggest employer in this country. Currently lots of people
are completely depending on the hotel industry for the job purposes. In this situation, this
industry also impacts natural environment. There is hotel industry is also responsible behind
existing climate change issue. This report mainly discusses should London hotel join the ITP
(International Tourism Partnership) or not, to reduce carbon emissions at scale. Some major
aspects also have been discussed in this report which has based on hotel industry and climate
change.
MAIN BODY
Directors of the broad not agreeing with joining the ITP
There are directors of the broad at London hotel not agreeing with joining the ITP
(international tourism partnership) for reducing the carbon emissions at scale. According the
directors, if hotel will join ITP, then this step of hotel can negatively impact it (Wernert,
DeStefano and Rivera, 2018). There are lots reasons behind this statement. Of course, reduce
carbon emissions at scale is too necessary task to make our natural environment happier and
healthy. But, existing time period is not favourable to the London hotel to take decision of
joining the international hotel partnership.
This is completely true that, if London hotel join the ITP, then it will be able to use very
higher efficiency, like; efficient lighting (LED lightbulbs) and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and
Air Conditioner). But currently these all facilities are completely useless to the hotel, because
currently hotel industry is fully shut down I the United Kingdom due to corona virus (covid 19)
epidemic. That’s why joining the ITP is not favourable deal to the hotel in existing time period.
On the other side, the London hotel has already covered many activities in the social welfare.
The hotel has already provided huge fund as a charity to those organisations which works for
protecting natural environment. Top-level management is compeltr3ely agree with this statement
that, functions of ITP are too excellent, and hotel will definitely think about it in the future for

joining, but existing time is not favourable to the hotel for joining international touring
partnership.
Of course, when London hotel join ITP, then it will be able to build it’s all over
efficiency in the Hotel industry (Shultz and et.al., 2017). But, this hotel already has very high
efficiency. Currently it has large customer base in the hotel industry of the Unite Kingdom. On
the other side, it has high reputation also in tries industry, so it can easily afford those all things
which boost its existing efficiency. That’s why existing board of directors are not agreeing with
joining the international tourisms partnership. Currently some other ways or methods also
available to the hotel which can contribute in building high efficiency, so there is ITP is not only
way to London hotel for budding efficiency. The hotel already made an effective future plan for
more increasing its existing productivity and efficiency in upcoming time.
There is another opportunity to the hotel that, if London hotel join IPT, then it will be
able to increase its guest efficiency. But currently this hotel no need to increase its guest
efficiency, because London hotel already has an effective guest efficiency. On other side,
existing management of hotel completely understand the actual role of guest efficiency. That’s
why it already has developed a productive action plan for increasing its guest efficiency. But
currently this action is also completely useless, because no customer can come in the hotel in this
time due to corona virus epidemic (Salah and Kama, 2016). In this situation, if currently hotel
join ITP for increasing its guest efficiency, then this step of hotel will also become unproductive
to the hotel.
International tourism partnership will provide new efficiency to the London hotel, if hotel
join ITP to reduce carbon emissions. This is completely true that, if any hotel join ITP, then it
will be making more use of new technologies. Of course, currently new technology is too
necessary for different hotels to survive in existing dynamic hotel industry. But this deal is
favourable to small hotels of the United Kingdom, because London hotel already has succeeded
in implementing new and modern technology within its daily operations. Hire new efficiency is
not a big task to this hotel, because London hotel is one of the leading hotels within the United
Kingdom. On the other side, currently hotel only want to focus on gaining sustainable profit in
the market when hotel industry will again start after corona virus epidemic (Boemi and Irulegi,
2016). Currently earn favourable profit is higher priority to the London hotel in the comparison

of reducing carbon emissions by joining ITP. This is too necessary to the London hotel to
maintain its high reputation in the UK’s hotel industry for forever.
However, reduce carbon emissions is also one of the prime duties for the hotel.
According to the top-level management, London hotel always runs many activities in the welfare
of natural environment. Hotel will run such activities in the future also on the self-basis when
hotel industry will again open in the United Kingdom after Lockdown. But in this existing time
period, hotel can’t take any step for reducing carbon emissions by joining international tourism
partnership. On the other side, recently existing management of hotel has provided a specific
fund as a charity to the local government of the United Kingdom for systematically fighting
against covid 19 epidemic (Chan, 2019). According to the currently situation, reducing carbon
emissions is not a prime duty to the London hotel.
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded that board of directors not agreeing with joining the IPT
(International Tourism Partnership), because according to the directors, this existing time is not
favourable o the hotel to joining the IPT for reducing carbon emissions. Currently hotel is facing
some other challenges as well, so existing management wants to only focus on reducing those
challenges and difficulties which has raised due of covid 19 epidemic. There is reduction in
carbon emissions is also too necessary, in which directors will think about it in the future.
