INTRODUCTION
Hospitality recruitment is a term which is useful in recruitment ad hiring the right person
in hotel by determining their capabilities and knowledge. In simple words, it define the hiring for
the posts which are available in hotel such as hotel manager, receptionist, waiter and so on within
the same kind of job in hospitality industry (Bolton and et., al., 2019). This business report is
prepared with the aim of developing staff and organisation in order to meet the suitable
objectives in context of Intercontinental hotels and resorts which is a prominent hotel brand in
UK and founded in 1946. For this, company perform PESTLE and SWOT analysis which
influences the decision making process and trend analysis in order to determine the current and
future trends.

development and ability for the operating in organisation. This analysis has few factors which

Economical: This component depicts the overall growth of company and exchange rates
and also represents the confidence of customers. For this, hotels always provide
satisfaction to their customers and it is done with the help of staff and employees as if the
employees are capable enough then it leads to automatically develop an organisation.
Social: It describes those trends and factors which socially impacts the development of
company. It depicts the development of organisation with the help of social media and
also develops those trends which are generated from social media.
Technological: Here, hotels use suitable and updated technological equipments in order
to develop and provide training to their employees. For this, hotel use electronic
equipments and other related items in order to develop their organisation.

these trends are discussed as under:
Sustainability Rules: This element depicts the eco friendly rules and regulations which
helps in saving the environment and natural resources (Bolton and et., al., 2019). This
factor is considered by Intercontinental hotels as it describes that property focus on the
renewable resources and water scarcity as hotel currently use solar panels which helps in
saving natural resources. As when guests leave the room then AC and lights of room are
automatically gets switched off.
Now roles for staff: It describes the use of technology in order to reduce the extra roles
and responsibilities of human beings. As many travellers prefer technology instead of
human services and for his, many hotels are currently using robot services in order to
offer and deliver room service to their guests (Singh, 2019). As it will offer them suitable
opportunity to put emphasis on more personalised products and services. Thus, it is
useful in reducing the work load from the shoulders of staff and employees.
CONCLUSION
Thus, it is concluded that for the recruitment in hotel industry candidates must have
suitable skills and knowledge which are required by them. Therefore, to hire candidates it
becomes the responsibility of manager to have suitable skills and knowledge among candidates
and to determine it, PESTLE and SWOT analysis is conducted in order to analyse the factors
which impacts the development and impacts the decision making process of company. In
addition to this, trend analysis is conducted which helps in determining the trends that impacts
the hospitality industry.
