Strategies to overcome barriers
The barriers and challenges needs to be overcome so that the people of the country
can easily communicate with each other and share their beliefs and thoughts. The first
and the foremost strategy to overcome the barrier is to remove the physical barriers and
the noise and disturbance from the environment. This is because of the reason that the
noise is the major problem which occurs in process of communication. Another strategy
can be to understand the emotional level of the person before communicating with
them. This is necessary to check because if the person is not in proper state of mind then
any thing told to that person it will not be able to understand what the speaker told. Also
as the people of Sri Lanka are undergoing through the mental trauma so the speaker
must ensure that what it speaks the language must be correct and must not be such
which may harm the emotions of the persons and residents of Sri Lanka.
Awareness of cultural influence
Cultural influence refers to the influence of the culture on people of the country. For
proper communication the people must be aware of the cultural background. This is because
of the reason that if the person is speaking relating to some specific cultural and the other
person does not have any knowledge relating to that culture then it is a waste of time for
both of them. So the person must be aware of the culture.
CONCLUSION
The poster summarised that the terrorist attacks posed many challenges for the luxury
hotels and resorts in Sri Lanka. Also it helped in outlining and devising some strategies to
overcome the barriers. At last it demonstrated awareness of cultural influence on the
communication.
