A guest of the hotel generates about two pounds of waste per night; half the waste is

immediate effect on the transition to a digital tablet. Small toiletries cost up to a lot of

chloride) in contemporary plastic key cards. Many hotels move on to cards made of paper,
wood and bioplastic that are more eco-friendly but still durable. Many hotels have switched
to cleaning products made of organic oils and other natural cleansers, realizing the value for
clients, staff and the community of healthy products. There is limited use of bleach chlorine
and of petrochemicals. Natural products like neem-pepper have been popular, as they are less
damageable to visitors and employees and less hazardous for the environment (Mensah,
2013). Hotels worldwide seek to minimize energy usage, preserving – and where possible
improving – visitors 'experience through core operations such as boilers and lighting systems,
kitchen appliances and integrated energy management systems, in order to conserve
electricity.
Treatments of local and autochthonous ingredients, natural and organic products are
becoming more and more popular in all spas. In addition, exclusive facilities have been

are being made to be more sustainable, ranging from household ventures to guest
accommodation, food and beverages or spas. These hospitality developments will assist
