INTRODUCTION
Diversity depicted as set of several cultures, ethnicity, gender, age, physical abilities,
religion, race and many others which pertains that each individual is unique and different. Other,
equality refers to treating each and every employee equal without creating any kind of
differences on the basis of their colour, beliefs, ethics etc. Both of these are most crucial part of
an organisation as it directly leads impact on the productivity and profitability of the business.
Also, it will enables them to maintain a balanced environment or culture within the organisation
and help them in coping up all the challenges or issues in a most effective manner without facing
any kind of crisis. In this project, the organisation which has been taken into consideration is
Hotel Hilton which is performing their business in hospitality industry. In this it is essential for
organisation to enhance their business size as per there business by using various strategies and
implement successful plan to achieve high success in market. This file involves aims, objectives
and project management plan in order to identify the requirements in a most effective manner.
Along with this, several methods of research for collecting effective or relevant data on a
particular field of study and interpreting data with the help of various tools and techniques. At
last, appropriate suggestions will render in terms to enhance the quality of project as well as
whole organisation on the basis of researcher experience while regulating whole project
activities.

P1: Aims and objectives of the project
Background of the company
Hotel Hilton is a well-known global brand which provides various services and hotel,
resorts etc. among all over the world. The organisation was founded in the year 2018 and
operating 586 hotels as well as resorts. This was founded by Conrad Hilton and it is performing
and managing all types of services in effective manner.
Research Aim: The aim of this research is “ To determine the impact of diversity and equality
for attaining higher competitive benefits”. A study on Hotel Hilton.

To enhance the performance of HR department in order to manage the diversity in the
organisation.
To identify effective strategies for the Hilton related with equality among the human
resource and workforce along with their initiatives.
To determine the views for organisation from the perspective of human resource for
organisational strategies.
P2 Project management plan for the Hotel Hilton
Project management plan is a useful document which is using by an organisation in order
to define very phase of project. In context of this project various factors comprise in it such as
cost, process, procedure, communication and resources, which helps an organisation to conduct
all its activities in a most effective manner within the pre-determined time period (Bell, Bryman
and Harley, 2018). All these components are describing below:
Cost- Price or cost is one of the most important factors for organisation that leads
organisation to perform their work in particular budgets. The cost techniques which can
be used by them are: Budgeting which helps the company to plan the way in which they
can spend the amount. Cash flow statement is another technique which helps in
identifying the inflow and outflow of the cash. Whereas the Cost breakdown structure
will help in breaking the cost at different level. For Hotel Hilton the estimated budget is
to complete their work is £11,000. Whereas, the cost for project of researcher is estimated

findings of the research will help to formulate strategies with which equal and fair
opportunities can be provided to all the employees belonging to different cultures, having
different believes values etc. so that they can cooperate with each other which will help
them to achieve the goal of the organisation effectively. Also it will help the managers of
Hotel Hilton to resolve the conflicts often face by them (Bresler and Stake, 2017). In
order to make the project successful it is important that SMART objectives are prepared
by the researcher so that wide objectives of the project are achieved. This will help in
benefiting the organisation as well as the researcher and will have a positive impact on
both.
Organisational structure: Every organisation follow some or the other structure such as
functional, hierarchical, matrix etc. All such structures help organisations to locate roles
and responsibilities to the employees as per their level and capabilities. Hotel Hilton
follows the functional structure in their organisation so that the activities of the lower
level people effectively managed by the supervisors.
Resources: To conduct any research the researchers required various resources with the
help of which we can undertake various activities. Such resources could be human
resource, capital, land, labour etc. Various resources that will be required by the
researcher to conduct the research successfully are laptops, phones, printer, an office,
books and journals etc. As the research team comprises of 5 members in total including
the researcher, 3 laptops are required so that video-conferencing can be done and also
online data collection and preparation of reports can be effectively done. An office will
be required near the premises of the company so that proper research can be conducted.
Along with this 4 mobiles phones will be required so that effective communication can
take place between all the research team members and project manager so that the project
gets successfully completed.

Communication matrix: This is one of the important component of project management
plan as it helps to integrate various activities that has been performed while conducting
the research. The researcher will give all the details regarding the progress of the project
to the project manager with the help of emails, video conferencing etc. Then the manager
will further communicate it with the senior manager of the Hilton through the meetings
and video conferencing (Erickson, 2014). Whereas the team leaders in the organisation
will establish face to face communication matrix with the employees so that they can
make them understand importance of such change. This communication matrix will
facilitate researcher and the company to provide all the information time to time.
Risks: The risk related with any research project is of preparing an effective project
management plan. The investigator of the research faces various risk suggest technical
risk in which they have a fear of inappropriateness of technique used. While the other is
which is based is related with the shortage of resources as they have to utilise them
optimally till the end of the project. On the other hand the risk faced by the company is
off implementation as the employees may not be in favour of marriages so identified
from the research (Pieterse, 2019). Further the risks that can be faced by researcher are
technical risks like errors in the computer system which will produce inappropriate data
collection. This mean that improper suggestions will be given by the researcher to
company which will also risk the trustworthiness of the researcher which will affect the
future opportunities to get projects from the companies.
Quality: The quality of the project has to be maintained as all the interpretation and
analysis are dependent upon the quality of the data source from where the information
has been gathered by the investigator. Various control techniques that can be used to
ensure the quality of the data are control chart while the other technique use is quality
control chart.

overtime. To make the research successful the investigator uses
control chart technique while gathering the data as it helps them
to understand the impact of change the processs (Noble and

decided. This research will be completed by the researcher in 7 weeks. To ensure the

which help them to divide the entire job into small manageable sections. Further the
company can implement various suggested strategy gradually in their organisation
(Fletcher, 2017).

Gantt Chart: This is the most common horizontal bar chart which is generally used in
project management as it the very useful way to represent all the activities against time. It is the
only one which is frequently using by the organisations as it is also assisting them in delegating,
planning and assigning all the activities in a most significant manner. In this research, surveyor
use Gantt chart for delegating all the roles and responsibilities effectively and accomplishing all
their desired goals and objectives on time (Kundu and Mor, 2017).

project can be maintained. Researcher in this study utilising this framework in their project

information is directly from individuals. These is also used by management to increase the
performance of there work as the data which is collected by organisation is totally new and
presented in sequential manner. Qualitative and quantitative are the methods through which
business is performing there work in effective manner.
Secondary data- It refer to the data which is already gathered by the organisation and the
management through utilising various tools that is collected in the form of various tools that is
used by management. As it results better performance for organisation through which business
houses make effective decisions due to which the performance of operations and services of
hotel Hilton increased (Kulik, 2014).
Qualitative research: It is also considered as exploratory research as it is very helpful in
collecting the more in-depth information or data for a specific topic or issue which enables the
researcher in carrying out all their activities in a significant way. In this tool surveyor has
considered some of the answerers to collect the data. But this method is more time consuming as
compare to quantitative method.
Quantitative research: This method is working on measuring variables by using
numerical systems, graphs, chart and many others. In this method, researcher has considered
various respondents to collect effective information due to which the scope of this remain on
higher level. For collecting qualitative data, investigator can use various sources like
questionnaire, interview, observation etc. for accomplishing their task most efficiently
