INTRODUCTION
The trends within healthy lifestyle are increasing at high pace. There are several travellers
who are concerned about their health. That is why it is crucial for offering significance to
program related to health and wellness within hospitality (Xu, 2017). It is seen that in the 21st
century, health and wellness concepts have to increase for attracting customers within a hotel.
Nowadays travellers expect hotels to be more conscious for providing health and wellbeing
programs. There is need for hotels to provide this facility in order to enhance the hotel services.
In this report, there is reflective explanation about health and wellbeing in hotel industry. These
statements contain personal thoughts and experience related to the topic.

Reflection
Description
I have a report on which I need to provide my personal experience on the topic related to
wellbeing and health in hotel industry. I have seen a lots of data related to shifting trend of hotel
industry towards providing healthy environment to their visitors. This trends changes gradually
after pandemic because people becomes more sensitive towards their health.
Feelings
At the time when I was doing this project, I feel quite inexperience because of many
doubts arises in my mind. Then I started to research various hotels and restaurants and analyses
their perspective regarding health. Now I feel very confident and enthusiastic in relation to health
and wellbeing aspect of hotels. At the time when I was doing this project my thinking is that who
cares about health of visitors in hotel industry but I was wrong it becomes essential part of hotel
industry and also this factor helps business to survive in highly competitive market.
Evaluation
The positive experience of this journey is that I use to aware about the current market
trends of hotel industry in relation to their health and wellbeing perspective. The negative impact
of aspect which I experienced in this study is that there are some big players in hotel industry
captures most of market share with their dominating marketing campaign. This scenario
demotivates small organisations to conduct their business (Tan and Lee 2021). I have evaluated
that most hotels perform several activities to provide healthy environment to their customers.

Hotels conducts many efforts such as healthy food, clean rooms and maintains proper Covid-19
guidelines in their business functions. It ensures that all their workers are fully vaccinated and
follow guidelines in their activities. I have analysed many advertisement of hotel companies that
they use different techniques to make their food department free from any harmful diseases. All
vegetables and other food items are examined carefully. I have that their clubs and swimming
pools are closed as it is not possible to maintain social distance in these places.
Analyses
I analyse many aspects of health and market at the time of doing this report. First thing is after
pandemic the preference of customers shift from budgeted hotels to health conscious hotels.
People are ready to offer more money to those hotels which provides healthy environment in
comparison to low budget hotel. Second thing which I analyse in this scenario is that, the market
of hotel industry affects due to changing mentality of customers such as most of the people try to
live in their home in comparison to any adventure due to their safety purpose. I analyse many
studies which shows decreasing trend of public expenditure.
Conclusion
This report provides me knowledge on two aspects such as hotel industry and health. I
have learnt different many suggestions related to health from this report and also my industry
knowledge enhances. I believed that I have to develop effective research skill to make more
attractive reports on these types of topic.
Action plan
If I get the same time of work in my future, I tried to make more attractive and effective
reports on hospitality and health because this work develops a feeling of confident and many
skills in my personality. I will try to enhance my knowledge about various aspect of health and
hospitality to make sure the future work on these types of topics.
CONCLUSION
It is concluded from this report that many hotel companies add health and wellbeing as their
important business arm (Dinçer and Alrawadieh, 20170). It is possible only due to changing
behaviour of people after pandemic. Business firms conducts only those activities which
supports health.
