INTRODUCTION
Personal development is a process that is used by an individual person to learn different
skills for improving personal capabilities and qualities. Purpose of personal development is
important for future growth and development (Tattum, and Tattum, 2017). Personal development
plan is a way to improve personal and professional skills. This method or plan provide a
guideline to individual person to develop a development plan to develop required skills with in a
specific time period. This report is providing brief of personal development of employees in
Hotel Hilton. The personal development plan is based on SWOT of individual employee and as
per SWOT analysis PDP is developed.

SWOT analysis is a basic frame work that is used to analysis various internal and
external factors that can influence performance of project, product or a person. The acronym of
SWOT is Strengths, Weaknesses Opportunities and threats. The strengths are the positive points
of person that can help them to achieve goals in the effective manner (Kraiger and Cavanagh,
2015). This could be professional or personal skills. Strengths of person improves their
efficiency in particular task or work. Weaknesses are negative for growth, development and
work in any organization or personal life. If a person is lacking in some skills then this will be
considered in the weakness of the person. Opportunities can be considered as a chance that can
be used to gain advantage in personal carer and growth. Opportunities are also consists of
learning and gaining new skills which are good for personal and professional growth. Threats of
a person are the external factors that can create barriers in the success and development of a
person in their carrier and organization. In SWOT all these factors are learned by the analyser to
know the capability of individual employee in the organization to plan further changes in the
organization.

SWOT analysis is conducted by a employee to evaluate the personal capability and qualities. As

1. Patience- For a job in the hospitality sector patience is most important thing. For the
hospitality sector employees should have ability to wait for different things. To deal
with clients in the Hotel industry is important for better client satisfaction. In Hotel
Hilton every different day various kind of customer come to stay and for all customer
the behaviour of employees should be good enough to make their stay comfortable for
them (Pais and dos Santos, 2015). Patience is also important to avoid the situations like
conflicts between employee and customers. As I have analysed that I am good at waiting
and can wait for longer time without getting troubled.
2. Careful- In Hotel Hilton we have to deal with different problems every day and also we
have to work with delicate luggage and cutlery of hotel and customers. It is important to
deal with these things with high care to keep them safe from damage (Rose, 2018). As I
have analysed that I am good at dealing with these objects. Also, this careful behaviour
is required in different activities in the hotel industry for high efficiency of hotel
operation.
3. Team Worker- Team working is required in all organization and operations. Efficiency
of organization and specific task is dependent on the effectiveness of team working and
cooperation. I have good experience of team working and in hotel industry different
operations are based on the team working. Functions like cooking, serving, managing
and house keeping services need coordination to finish those task with high efficiency
without affecting customer during their stay. The large experience helped me a lot to
learn about team working and cooperation.
4. Quick Learner- Hotel industry works on the real time working and efficiency. If
organization have to make certain change in the organization then they need to
implement that change in the running time without interrupting the other operations. I
am able to learn different things with in short time and this ability help me to learn new
things very fast.
5. Initiative Skills- As a team leader I am having efficient ability to take initiative in
different conditions to motivate the co-workers to perform different tasks in difficult
situations. My this skill is important for job in Hotel Hilton.

1. Perfection- This is one of my biggest weakness to perform tasks with high perfection
and accuracy (Lancer and Eatough, 2018). I ma very particular about my work in the
