It has become very important for modern tourism and hospitality managers to understand
more about the internal environments for their organizations. This in because the productivity of
the industry is based on the internal capabilities of the people involved in the provision of
services. According to the article by Net (2020) the business environment is changing rapidly
and becoming much complex. In this regards the study throws great light on how the hotel
businesses are changing. The usage of internet and the technical gadgets are prompting managers
more towards reviving their internal management. The article focuses on the fact that the internal
environment is very much important in determining the value of productivity. Hence, managers
need to be more effective in tackling internal situations. Litvin, Goldsmith and Pan (2018) opine
about the electronic word of mouth promotions that are much based on the performances of the
staffs.
The article greatly focuses on the factors of collaboration and control as a means to
develop better management for the internal environment. The relation of my own learning with
the articles is that they both focus on managing people more effectively. This can be done better
only through collaboration and control. Collaboration and control are important in determining
the value of customer engagement.

Internal environment becomes very important in determining the feasibility of control
that can be established over the internal management of the hotels. According to the article by
King and Lee (2016) communication is very important in establishing effective means of
collaborative and controlling mechanism in any given hospitality setting. According to Net
(2020) hotel in the Asia Pacific regions have boosted their performances over the last few years
through effective evaluation of their internal environments. The articles effectively put forward
the idea that this is the best way for all managers in the industry.
Collaboration and control are again the decisive factors through which employees can be
kept more engaged with their work in the industry. This helps them to develop better capabilities.
At the same time it becomes important that I myself use the collaboration and control tool to
better manage the internal aspects. Collaboration helps to create a string systematic bonding
between various people. Control helps to establish a strong bonding within the teams that are
engaged in the industry. In essence there is a need to develop equilibrium between collaboration
and control to engage more people. The experience I gathered from working in the hotel helped
me to communicate effectively to enhance collaborative and control oriented internal
environment.
